Where is a U.S. passport office?
U.S. passport offices are located throughout all 50 states, in locations including post offices, libraries and municipal government offices. To assist citizens in obtaining passports, the U.S. Department of State maintains a searchable online database of all passport offices (see References).References:U.S.
There are two types of US passport office: acceptance facilities and regional passport agencies. Acceptance facilities are usually located in post offices, libraries and municipal buildings. They accept passport applications, review and seal the documents, and send them to the Department of State for processing. There are only 24 of these offices serving the entire US, and they are open by appointment only.
