Where is Ayr?
Ayr is located on the West coast of Scotland, 36 miles from Glasgow and 80 miles from the capital city Edinburgh. Both are vibrant cities offering a range of cultural and leisure attractions. Edinburgh is renowned for is dramatic castle and world famous international festival. Glasgow is fashionable and lively and is second to only London for its choice of shops, bars and restaurants. Ayr is rich in history and is the birthplace of Scotland’s national poet, Robert Burns and is therefore a major tourist resort.
