Cabo San Lucas is located at the southernmost tip of the Baja California Peninsula in the State of Baja California Sur, Mexico. Situated on the western side of the tip of Baja, Cabo San Lucas is approximately 1,000 miles south of San Diego, California, U.S.A., just 10 degrees below the Tropic of Cancer at a latitude of approximately 22 degrees. Cabo San Lucas is approximately 20 miles southwest of the Los Cabos International Airport. What is Los Cabos and where is it located? The name Los Cabos (spanish for The Capes) refers to the municipality which includes the cities of Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, located in the state of Baja California Sur, Mexico. The area between both cities is commonly refered to as the (Los Cabos) Tourist Corridor.
