Although the South Los Angeles location is closing, the center will live on in a new form. Before the show, before the book, before the Emmy nomination, there was the Dog Psychology Center. This is where it all began more than a decade ago. Cesar and Ilusion Millan rented a rundown piece of property in the warehouse district of South Los Angeles. Together, with love and dedication, they renovated the location and made it what it is today: a canine haven, housing up to sixty dogs at a time, where Cesar trains owners and rehabilitates their dogs.
