Just wanted to try a new place for a pastry and espresso. The cinnamon roll is actually out of croissant dough– at least it tastes that way. Yummy! And Illy coffee is always a nice treat. If you are going to dish out a few bucks at the chain across the street… Don’t. Just fork out a dollar or two more and get something made in house at the 1886 Bakery!Pros + Nice quiet, reserved, and beautiful interior character

Have been to south location as well as Red River. This location offers more choices regarding breads and the salads are better at this location. This location was the first in which I tried the pimento cheese. It is consistently good at this location, the Red River one varies at times. The fruit salad is nice at both locations, but the green salad is better at this location. There are less flies in the south Austin location. The staff was more courteous and looked more professional in appearance than those at Red River. The people watching is good because of its location. Parking is still less than ideal as one has to park on the street most of the time, but on weekends, have never had trouble finding a spot. Great lemonade at this location.Pros + more clean than Red River location, better selection of pastriesCons – parking on street, little expensive for the food

This is the MOTHER of all Whole Foods! Seriously! This is THE flagship store and is the largest of them all! You could make a good hour visit, if not more, to the store! The clothing and cosmetic areas alone are enough! And if you’re hungry, there’s plenty of options…prepackaged meals, carving stations, sandwich area, raw foods, coffee, and then the bars–salads, fruit and dessert, and hot food including international and comfort food. I must say the actual salad bar had a limited selection in comparison with Whole Foods in New York and Los Angeles.Pros + Lots of options, HUGE storeCons – Limited salad bar selection

Okay, everyone is right. This place is great, great coffee, great baked goods, great place to hang out or study. But I’ve got one beef with Quacks that really bothers me. It’s how they act when you’re there late.See, Quacks officially stays open until 1AM. But come about 12:15, sure enough, the music will be jacked up to whole new volume levels, and the guys working the store will start coming up to your table and sweeping, cleaning, right up next to you, like they’re BEGGING you to figure out that they’re trying to close soon. I understand they don’t want to stay there until the wee hours of the morning, but if you don’t want people to stay there until 1AM, don’t make your official hours stay open til 1AM!!!! Some of us who study our lives away are attracted to Quacks because it stays open relatively late, but it’s just kind of rude to make me feel like I’m past my welcome if I stay past 12:30.That being said, I keep going back because of the damn good coffee and damn good b

I eat here practically every other day for breakfast and lunch. This place is great! The staff are soo friendly and happy. The service is super quick during the lunch at 12 when I go by for a sandwich. I did find there’s a variety of options to choose from and I simply love the club supreme!! The prices compared to everyone else around me are the most reasonable. You get more bang for the buck. As for the quantity and quality, heck all you got do is ask for more. I’ve done it before, I hate shredded lettuce, and they are super nice to substitute it with romaine. Considering a regular 6 sub is much bigger than the ones you get from Quiznos, subway, or Thundercloud, for only $4.50, all you got do is ask for extra meat and pay $2 more. I did this once for my boyfriend’s order, and it was packed and worth the $2 extra. So in a nut shell, the spot I go to has great product considering the other deli options around. I can get a decent sandwich with the quality better than Subway and
