The hubs made a surprise reservation at Two Urban Licks for Valentine’s Day, since he heard some good things about it. We were early for our reservation so we waited at the bar and had a couple of cocktails. I had the Purple Rain specialty drink, rum and simple syrup infused with lemon thyme and lavender. It was very smooth so I had a second. His traditional martini was well executed. Everything was starting out well. When we were seated, it started to go downhill a bit. We were seated at a tiny table with a large fire extinguisher butted right against the table. However, all the two-seater tables are tiny but the extinguisher feature was rather annoying. It was also extremely noisy, crowded, my eyes started to sting a bit from the poor ventilation system. For appetizers we ordered tuna tartare and a barely cooked, thin sliced beef called carpacio. Both were delicious although a miniscule portion size. The tuna was fresh and had a nice light sesame and citrus taste and the beef had

My husband and I just left our house and started driving hoping to find a new B-B-Q place. Boy did we find a great one!! Shane’s Rib Shack is a fun, friendly place to eat. The girls behind the counter were very polite and were genuinely interested in how we liked the food. We both had the shredded pork sandwich, that had enough meat on it to stretch three sandwiches out of the one! The sweet tea was refreshing and their signature sauce was some of the best I have ever tasted! The only bad thing about it was I couldn’t put the sandwich down even though I was full!!! A little bit out of the way for us, but we will definately be back with friends! Pros + large portionsCons – rough gravel parking lot, all of the seating is pretty much outside

Yeah, yeah… the hype of this place makes me laugh… Service was awesome. Food was really expensive for what you get. I got a raw chopped up scallop appetizer with some chopped garnish? Sushi rolls are to be avoided, I think the Kroger lady makes better rolls, not that i wouldn’t know “cough” “cough.” If you like mexican sushi go for it, not to be against non-Japanese chefs wielding Walmart bought knives? The management just being frugal with their affordable entrees … they’re just watching their labor costs? If you have to take your date here to get props then tell Paris to valet her exotic outside where the paparazzi can see you. Overall the Service and People there were beautiful to say the least. Bar scene there on Tuesdays was interesting to say the least, make sure you pull up in your porsche and sport your rolex. Pretentious:Yes! Affordable: Depends on wallet size or credit limit. Thirty thousand dollar a year Millionaire’s paradise for a “strut and fret upon a stage.”Pro
