Burbank’s serves excellent barbecue. I prefer the pulled pork sandwich, which is done right, smoked over a low flame for hours and not slathered with any sauce. If you want to add sauce, you can choose from several varieties. They have a tomato-based, vinegar-based, and mustard-based sauce. If you want to replicate the authentic Southern barbecue experience, make sure to put your coleslaw on the sandwich.

Very good bbq. In town for business and wanted some bbq. This place was close to the hotel which was in a scary part of town. You know you’re in trouble when the fast food places close down and only the drive-in is open after 6 p.m. But as far as bbq goes the pulled pork was wonderful.

I can’t decide if this is the 2nd best for pulled pork or 3rd in my opinion. I like the portions better at “Walts” than “Pit to Plate”,but I think the meat is just a bit better at “PTP. You pay a little more here but leave with a full belly. The sides are about the same. You will never leave unsatisfied from “Walts”. The new building is pretty nice too.Pros + Great Food, Great Portions at a Good Price.

I have been going to Walt’s since I was 8 years old, my first experience was with my father. Such of one that kept me coming back for years to come. I love the overwhleming smell of the wood mixed with the hickory smoked ribs. I still find myself rolling my window down every time I drive by just to get a wiff. Yes my mouth waters just thinking about it. I dined with my family at least once a week, it was always a favorite to the whole family. I now have a family of my own and we eat at Walt’s every chance we get.Yes things are a bit different without Bill H. Melton. He was loved by many and will be mised. Bill Melton was an icon to the Northern Kentucky culture–he mad a great restaurant and was one hell of a business man. What an act to follow, not even some of our best now could fill the shoes of Mr. Melton. I see that Walt’s is still going on which so many are glad to see. The food, as always, is good, and the ribs are still the best around. The atmosphere never lost it’s eclectic

I have been eating at Goodie’s every since it was in the building down the street on the other side of the street. It was quality when in before the name goes on, now it’s just Goodie’s. (Quality????) I haven’t been there in awhile. Too many other places to choose from. Put the quality back in and we’ll come back!Pros + I like the sauceCons – , greens/frozen vs fres, Wait to long/not crow
