I have been going to Maggie and Renata for 6 years. I followed them both from Joseph Michaels to Ambra, and they’re both amazing. Maggie’s manicures and pedicures are the best I’ve ever had. The polish stays on for well over a week—no chipping or peeling. After going to her, you’ll wonder why you ever went to anyone else. She is a pleasure to talk to, and always does her best to fit me in. Renata does a fabulous job with waxing and making your skin glow. She has been waxing my eyebrows for years, and they always look perfect, even if I wait longer than usual to go back in. I get compliments all the time on my brows, and they look very natural. Renata has also suggested some different face products for me, and they have all worked well on my sensitive skin. She’s so sweet, and always makes me feel comfortable and relaxed.I just started going to Anna for my cut and highlights. I wish I had started going to her a long time ago! I’ve been to Sinead twice and both times had an excellent experience. I went to Holly for my first ever Brazillian, and she was so professional and very nice. I didn’t feel uncomfortable or awkward at all while in such a vulnerable position. Holly did a great job, no spot left undone! Second time around I was waxed by Janet, the spa’s owner. She was exceptionally quick, less than 5 minutes probably! While she was very quick, I believe she may compromise her attention to detail while trying to be speedy. Otherwise I love this place, and mention it’s your first time and get a discount! While I loved their old location on Southport, their new one suits their need for a bigger space. Overall fabulous place to get a brazillian wax!Pros + Great waxing, very comfortable atmosphere, personal staff.Cons – May compromise attention to detail for speedyness.
Shimi is amazing! She understands what I want, and REALLY works to keep it long for me- no problems with going too short and undoing all the growth I’m working on. Always makes it chic and glamorous- last time I stopped by work right after, and every MAN there gave me a compliment! Very friendly, too- my friend does my color, and when we asked her advice, she was willing to help. And, she remembers particulars about me from visit to visit- where I work, when I’m getting married, what I prefer for shape/ length/ bangs, etc. It took me a while to find a stylist and I’m SOOO glad I stumbled onto her. Worth every penny- don’t be put off that it’s an “italian” salon.Pros + coffee, tea, offered; short notice appointments often available
