Denny’s Pearlridge service have made leaps and bounds over the past couple of years. In the past, you were literally ignored from the host to waitress to the manager. Now everyone seems eager to help. The food is your typical comfort food and they have enough variety on the menu that should please everyone. This one is frequented by the military and its dependents because of its familarity. My recommendation though, is drive a quarter-mile down to Anna Miller’s Restaurant for better quality food and better service.Pros + Location, Variety of Menu, Open 24 hoursCons – , Spotty Service

I HAD BREAKFAST AND LUNCH AT THE HUKILAU CAFE AND IT WAS THE BEST PLACE I HAVE BEEN TO IN A LONG TIME. I HAD THE SUPREME OMELET AND IT WAS SO GOOD. FOR LUNCH I HAD THE ROAST PORK WITH GRAVY AND IT WASNT YOUR USUAL SLICED THIN BUT STILL TOUGH KIND OF PORK THAT YOU GET AT MOST PLACES. IT WAS LIKE CHUNKS OF SHREDDED PORK WITH A VERY TASTY BROWN GRAVY. IF YOURE LOOKING FOR A BURGER THAT WILL FILL YOU UP TRY THE HUKILAU BURGER ( HAMBURGER,TERI BEEF, FRIED EGG, CHEESE, GRILLED ONIONS,LETTUCE, TOMATO, AND MAYONAISE ON A SESAME BUN) IT WAS THE BEST BURGER I HAD YET. OK so my wife wanted to go to this place because she heard of the great food. Being a good husband and knowing that we would have to go eventually I agreed to go. Personally, I’ll go to any place just as long as there is Country Fried Steak and Eggs. Upon entering the place I stood by the door expecting someone to take my name. I think it was obvious that I had not been there before. Regardless, the waitress rushed past me with no acknowlegement. I remained there and attempted to get the attention of the only other waiter. He somehow did not hear me yet everyone else did! Anyhow, eventually I did ask the waitress about placing my name on the list. You will have to go to the register to get on the list. Also when asked about the choice of seating I asked for a table. Well, only minutes later our name was called and told to sit at the counter (yes, told, not asked or offered if we would accept the counter seats). I mentioned that I specifically asked for a table.
