Where is the Best Cheesesteak in Los Angeles, California?
This place is hitt or miss. Recently I had was craving a good steak, and I came to Wood Ranch and ordered the rib eye; it was extremely delicious, tender, juicy and perfectly seasoned. I also highly recommend their scrumptious fresh-baked rolls, are covered in a thin film of olive oil and garlic. I’ve had other meals from their lunch menu that did not impress me as much; once I got the tri-tip and it was cold in the middle. Perhaps the issue is that their “cheap” lunch menu isn’t as good as their full-price dinner menu? I was very pleased to find a great place to eat some hot wings and flavorful chicken. My son and I ordered lime and peppered chicken and some hot wings that were really good and tasty! We waited over 30 minutes to take out and I think it’s pricey. The people who work there are very nice and friendly…I just hope the next time I go I won’t have to wait as long for my food.
First bite “Amazing.” Second bite “Pure Joy.” Third bite “Will You Marry me?” To eat Phillippe’s is to love Phillippe’s. The recipe is simple… Get some amazingly tender roast beef. Check. Slam it down onto a crispy french roll. Check. Dunk that french roll into some “Dip” – the greatest thing known to man. Check Mate…. And let the children sing. Slight exaggeration? Maybe….. but not much. When you’ve tried it, you’ll understand. Come into Philippe’s any time of day and you’ll always be greeted with the same… 10 lines 10 people deep, rows upon rows of family style tables, saw dust on the floor, and most importantly, sweet old ladies in light brown dresses dipping their hearts away. I go there at LEAST once a week for food; I always take new friends and old but we all agree… THE BEST WINGS ever…..from their famous Chile Lime wings to their Spicy Honey Barbeque…..The greatest!!! Everything in this place is the bomb; I’ve never had pizza like theirs, you have to try their Cheese Rolls, Ranch Blasted Fries, and even their salads are amazing. I must say I do call this place my second home. The atmosphere is awesome, and I’ve never seen people so dedicated to assisting you as them; their food is inexpensive. They can get busy so I suggest to take your time, or if your out to lunch place your order ahead so that they have it ready. All in All it’s worth the trip…..
