Where is the Best Coffee in Atlanta, Georgia?
I loved this place. However the last time I went, the guy working was impolite and would not even speak to me. I ordered my coffee and muffin, he hands it to me and I said thank you, he did not say a word. I am sorry I was not dressed COOL enough for him. He should have been friendlier, for I have always treated the staff, at SF Coffee, with respect.
Cozy little Ria’s Blue Bird has become an Atlanta breakfast institution serving up breakfast standards as well as imaginative, original dishes. The “Bionic Breakfast” which includes tons of potatoes, mushrooms, corn and more, or great combos like brisket and poached eggs, and fish and grits are served to patrons nestled in diner-style booths or tables. Oh, and a little ol’ paper called the New York Times deemed their pancakes the best in the nation. On the weekend, those in the know will put their name down on the clipboard, grab a coffee at the bar, then patiently wait outside to be called. If dining solo on the weekdays, enjoy the friendly banter at the retro bar.Pros + Um, the pancakes…Cons – Prepare to wait on weekends… outside…a very long time
From the staff to the coffee Joe’s is a great experience. Where else in the village can you get a great Sumatra or Green Tea, hook up to the internet for free, meet with colleagues for work, meet with friends when you are tired of the smokey bars, sit outside on an antique glider with your dog and/or hang out on a big fat couch and just read a book or a gently used New York Times? Several roomy tables for laptops and school or work-assignments with accesible plug-ins for power cords. At least 4 fluffy couches for when business isn’t calling. One fireplace for when it’s cold outside. Outside deck in back and several outside tables for when the sun minus the pollen is calling.Try the daily brew for some variety but the daily Sumatra is always a strong tasty cup. For when i’ts hot the house specialty “Joe’s Iced Coffee” is the one to try. Ask for a half sweet half unsweet to save some sugar and still taste the cold sumatra on ice, my favorite!The biscotti is great as is their
We are shopping for coffee shops for my building and we struck out one Saturday morning in hopes of trying a coffee shop in Midtown. Even though they told me they were open seven days a week (and their website said the same thing) – they weren’t.Here is the equation: Me – a great cup of coffee in the morning = Terror!We decided to head to Decatur – of course we could find a coffee shop there. Well, we did – Dancing Goat.I had heard of Dancing Goat on NPR and tried to find them (awhile back) but the link did not work so I forgot about them.We parked and headed in. Coffee, coffee and oh, more coffee. I couldn’t decided what I wanted (as evidenced by the three bags of coffee I brought home). The manager helped me make my decision – and I watched a lovely gentleman use this special technology to brew my coffee. I watched in amazement as he poured, stirred and squeegeed my brew.
