A friend and I stayed at the Sutton Place to watch some friends run the Chicago Marathon. It was excellent from beginning to end; super-helpful reception staff, beautiful room with great views, really comfortable beds, soaking tub, blazing hot shower and the place is also incredibly quiet. You can easily get around by walking or subway and the Pancake House…

Overall this is a very nice hotel. The decor is modern so that the rooms don’t have a lot of direct lighting. We were on the 21st floor and we had a nice view of the Chicago River and Michigan avenue. For families take into consideration that there are not sleeper sofas in the regular rooms. We have three children and had to bring in two twin rolling beds in addition to the king bed. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The workout room is larger than expected with a good variety of equipment. The location is great for Michigan avenue shopping, theatre, Museum of art and Centennial Park. Also easy access to the Lakeside running trail. Also a number of small bakeries and coffee shops are within a block or two. Sears tower is a long walk but my young kids did fine.

My husband and I and two friends spent the weekend at Hotel Monaco. Our rooms were updated, clean and attractive. The hotel staff was outstanding–friendly and always willing to out of the way to find answers to questions or provide suggestions. Several additional features would encourage us to return besides the good location (close to the river and a block…

During our stay, we were greeted and checked in with a hotel associate. Their out of the box check in made us feel like we were their only priority. Staff was knowledgeable, courteous and helpful with directions and giving suggestions on places to go. Unfortunately, there is no lounge or restaurant; however, they do accomodate their guests with a happy…

The place is awesome! When you first walk in, a beautiful scent envelopes you and the flower arrangement is always unique. The lobby on the second floor has a burning fireplace in the center. The rooms have the best beds I’ve ever slept on. The pool and excercise room are spacious, inviting and usually have a bowl of fruit available. It’s close to Woodfield Mall with the added advantage of having a trolley taking you there. We love it and have now made it a point to always stay at Marriott’s because the quality is so high, even at their more discounted hotels. It’s always the same quality bedding!
