A few times a month, I work about 2 blocks from Cassetta’s. Because of that, I’ve gotten a chance to sample many items.Pizza – In my opinion, the pizza is the reason to come here. Big, thin-slice with just the right amount of cheese and sauce. I was so excited to see it the first time there that I made the mistake of ordering 2 slices. I was stuffed. One slice is probably plenty for most adults. The pizza is the closest thing in the Twin Cities that I’ve found to a “real” New York slice…. but it’s just not the same. Unfortunately, I can’t pinpoint what is missing, but there isn’t the right seasoning. It’s just slightly more bland than it should be. But it’s pretty darn close. Pizza – a solid 4 stars Other food – I’ve had the sausage sandwich that they’re famous for, as well as several other sausage and pasta dishes. They’re ok. Tasty, but nothing special. Other food – 3 stars. Atmosphere – I really like the little Italian market that’s atta

I have been going to Jax Cafe in Beautiful Nordeast Minneapolis since 1965. Over the years I have had club and business meetings, and business and personal lunches/dinners/brunches at Jax. I had my retirement party in the Cosmopolitan Room in 2002 with 150 guests. My church celebrated our 90th Anniversary with a dinner for 255 happy guests. I continue to see past business associates, who I previously introduced to Jax, coming in to entertain their current business contacts and to enjoy their own personal and family celebrations. The pianist plays my favorite song, “My Way” by Frank Sinatra. That’s what I always receive at Jax is, “My Way”. The food is of the highest quality, the service is excellent and friendly, and the managerial staff is always congenial and professional.

At this nostalgic farm themed restaurant you will find something to satisfy everyone’s palate. Just remember to save room for dessert. I reccommend the signature Apple Dumpling and add the cinnamin ice cream. They have a Friday All-You-Can-Eat Fish Fry, and Saturdays they feature smoked prime rib…or try some of their fabulous pork selections. The Parmesean Crusted America’s Cut is my favorite. Everything is homemade, from the mashed potatoes and gravy to the 11 inch pies. And the brunch on Sunday mornings (8am-2pm) is amazing, and reasonably priced at $9.99 for adults. Swing by some time and check out their cute gift shop. They also have banquet capabilites and an awsome attached hotel. The Wildwood Lodge is a modern midwest hotel and an overnight stay also includes free breakfast at the Shed. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed.Pros + Good Value, Great Service, Great for Big GroupsCons – Busy Sat and Sun AM, ?, ?

Having dined at Buona Sera for several years now, I have come to expect, if not enjoy, the hustle and bustle of what is a fabulously popular little hideaway. You don’t always get your table on time, but they also NEVEr push you out of your table once you are seated. The food is top notch. One example: I ordered the Rainbow Trout once and loved it. I can back, they were out. Next time, same thing. Finally, I asked Raffael and he said in his broken ItalEngish “If I don’t get good quality, I don’t get. I cannot find good Trout, so you cannot have it. These people (waving around the room) maybe they never had the Trout here and they love what I can get. But you, you have had the good Trout. You order it now, it’s not so good, and maybe you think Buona Sera is also not so good. So, my friend, I am sorry but I cannot serve it. It was off the menu the next time we were in. The steaks are quite good and the Seafood Soup is unequaled. Expensive and unequaled.Pros + The experience. The whole
