Just moved to Hendersonville from Nashville, and had heard of Woody’s Steakhouse. Never tried it though until moving, a customer of ours lives in Hendersonville and raved on the place. We went Saturday night(01/02/10) and had a wonderful meal. We ordered a appitizer which is something I dont do but the cajun shrimp starter was calling my name. I ordered the porterhouse steak that was the special, and I did not see it on their menu. My lovly date had the filet, both of those steaks were great, cooked perfect and very tender. They also tasted good with alot of flavor. I have not had a steak like that in a while. Now I do like the fact that the restaurant is some where around seventy years old but the old house is realy old. They sure cook a mean steak though. Very Good.Pros + Porterhouse steakCons – oldhouse

Might take a while to get seated, since the mall is a busy place. The atmosphere is great… you can people watch and it feels old-fashioned like it should. The waitresses dance every 30 minutes or so and the lights go down which adds to the great atmosphere! The food is a little pricey for a “soda shop” and all of the sides cost extra (they never come with the main foods). The atmosphere and the great sandwiches makes up for the prices though.Pros + Great food, atmosphere, people-watchingCons – A tad pricey, sides cost extra, wait time

I have been here twice, the first time for a private party. We received a private room, great attention. The food was awesome. Rich but not too heavy. I had the salmon with pine nuts and pesto. I tried to copy that recipe at home right away. Pasta was a bit mushy but still good. Prices are right on the fence. Second time, server was good. Food was just as good as I remembered. One thing that confused me was the table in the kitchen. I don’t know why anyone would want to sit there. Too noisy, busy.Pros + Awesome food, private dining, the wine flowsCons – Can be expensive

This is the first review I’ve ever written. But, after visiting Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint, I felt inclined to do so. I have travelled all around the great state of TN to find the best BBQ and my search has ended. I am a certified Kansas City BBQ Society judge so I tend to hold my expectations to a higher level. Martin’s met and exceeded that level. Upon my first visit, I ordered ribs, brisket and pulled pork. On my second and thrid visits, I tried the half chicken as well as the bologna sandwich. Reviews below:* Ribs: Tender, great color and hickory flavoring.* Brisket: This is the hardest piece of meat to cook because of the muscle content. Martin’s perfected it. Tender and moist with a great bark.* Pulled Pork: Excellent. Tender, moist and just the right amount of smoke.* Half Chicken: Juicy and the right amount of smoke….chicken is easy to oversmoke but Martin’s prepared perfectly.* Bologna Sandwich: This was my favorite. The piece must have been close to

not only is bobbie’s ice cream yummy, but they are the best vegetarian fast food in town. they have 2 veggie friendly burgers (garden and black bean) both of which are loaded with toppings. i love that they have sweet potato fries along with the standard white…. although i have noticed them to be a bit soggy the last couple of times i visited. over all bobbie’s is well worth the visit. (i just wish that they were open durring the winter!)Pros + the best veggie burger in townCons – not open durring winter
