My husband and I experienced Demos for the first time last night, we were entertaining friends from Atlanta and wanted to take them to a nice place to eat. We are fairly new to the Murfreesboro area and are ignorent about it’s restaurants and or night life. A neighboro had suggested Demos and stated that he and his wife ate there all the time and that we would not be disapointed. We arrived around 7pm and had to wait almost an hour before being seated (something that I hate to do) once we seated we were greated by a gentleman by the name of Bob who was to be our waiter for the evening. When Bob approached our table my husband and I were involved in a conversation in our native tounge of Italian, the waiter stood there waiting to take our order when all of a sudden (and much to our delight) he explained the menu in Italian, we were stuned to find someone who spoke Italian right here in Murfreesboro. Not only was the service GREAT but the food was good as well. Bob explained to us

We had my husbands USS Midway Reunion in Nashville, and I chose Monell’s as the place to have our last dinner all together before everyone departing Nashville. We live in Ca and picked this out only looking at the Internet. OMG, what a surprise this was, and this left a forever memory with everyone as it was so GOOD!!! I have traveled over half this earth and have eaten in places rated from 5 star to those to sleazy to be rated, but I have never eaten at a place where everything served was as well prepared, and as tasty as the food served at Monells. The staff were efficient and friendly, the atmosphere charming, and the food just kept coming and coming, everything was cooked to perfection, and that banana pudding was second only to what my mother in law used to make. It makes a great place to have a group dinner, as you pay individually, very reasonable, all sit together. They don’t accept reservations, but our group was there at the door when they opened at 5:00pm for dinner. My frie

We had never been to this restaurant and we stopped by on a whim. Both of us ordered the pulled pork with two sides. I had the baked beans with potato salad and my companion had steamed cabbage with macaroni and cheese. The baked beans were delicious, the macaroni and cheese tasted homemade, the steamed cabbage was flavorful; however the potato salad was good but lacking something. The pulled pork was AWESOME, it did not need sauce because it was so tender and flavorful. It is a good thing it did not need sauce because the mild sauce (on the table) was bizarre in flavor and the Habanero sauce was WAY to spicy for me. My companion ate the Habanero sauce and had sweat rolling off their nose. The server was WONDERFUL and we never lacked for refills. We did not have to ask for anything, it was just automatically provided. Pros + Can’t get enough of those muffins!Cons – The sauces, but it doesn’t need it either.

My wife & I spent 4 nights at the Opryland hotel over the New Year Eve weekend. We are repeat visitors. Our experience with the check in desk was wonderful. We found them the be very friendly, cheerful, helpful yet professional through our process of checking in & out. The housecleaning staff mostly is extremely limited in the English language but always smiled & said hello. Our atrium room view was once again was simply beautifyl. We enjoy sitting on the balcony, watching the people and enjoying the beauty of the gardens. Our room & beds were clean however we did notice that the hotel is in desire needs of a comestic upgrading. Both inour room & hallways we noticed many places where the wallpaper was torn or coming off the wall. The carpets are in major need of a good cleaning especially in the high traffic areas. We feel the $15 dollars a day plus $18 a day to park is a bit to much considering the atrium room are in the mid to high $200 dollar range. We will most likely return and ar

Famous Dave’s has great food and generally good service but sometimes the rib tips and other barbecue items seem to have been sitting out for a while. My experience has been that when it comes to bbq, timing often determines how good the food is going to be. The same goes for Chinese buffets. There have been a few times when the meat was tough and had a bit of an off taste, the fries just warm and saturated with oil, and the wings were dry and loose in the skin like they had spent some time under a warmer. Kind of sounds like I don’t care for the place right? Wrong! When the BBQ is good, it’s really good, They simply have the best side salad that I know of in the whole area, and there are a few of their servers that are the personification of professionalism in a restaraunt of this type, and a couple that aren’t, although they seem to cycle out pretty often. Overall, this is one of our favorites, and we don’t anticipate that changing any time soon. It would be nice if they paid a littl
