This store has a good selection of beautiful shoes, most of which you won’t find anywhere else in town. And the owner, Muriel, is friendly and helpful, and really wants you to love what you buy in her store. Recommended for anybody who loves stylish and unique shoes!Pros + Beautiful Shoes, Unique Selection, Great ServiceCons – Not Cheap

The title pretty much says it all. Deluxe Junk carries pretty much everything under the sun, especially when it comes to used hidden treasur…

I remember when Sonic Boom was in a small little building in Fremont. Now, they’ve moved, opened another store in Ballard and are set to open yet another one in Capitol Hill. This store has great used CDs (they usually don’t buy crap) at great prices. They also have a great used vinyl selection as well. I found a copy of “U2-3” at the Ballard location (U2’s first vinyl release in 1979). The new stuff can be pricey, but that can’t really be avoided. The staff is pretty friendly and the atmosphere is great.Pros + Good used stock.

They have a few good brands like mackage coats and some brand name jeans, but the other clothes are way overpriced. I would not buy a tshirt or simple outfit there unless you want to pay like a huge markup. The jewelry selection is pretty good if you want to spend over $200 on a pair of earrings. They have a very small store. I have bought a few good wardrobe pieces there, and I think the salesgirl was very friendly.I do shop there, I think they are very upscale, but I know my brands, and what not to buy…and what to buy…be careful because you may spend too much on something you can find elsewhere for half the price…Overall though its worth a look.Pros + Some good quality brandsCons – Basics are way overpriced@!

Jill is the owner, but she’s also your best friend in this store. She always knows exactly what is going to look good on me, and is awesome at pairing things together, adjusting fit for your shape… I could go on and on, but if you’re looking for personal attention and an amazingly friendly atmosphere, you can’t go wrong with Impulse. Jill does a blog, too – it shows modeled photos of all of the stuff in the store – I subscribe to the email updates and usually end up picking something up online as a result. The return policy is always kind – in-store credit , but a lot more flexible than many boutiques. Definitely a must-hit if you’re in the area!Pros + Friendly staff, Good return policy, Great Selection, they will reimburse for parkingCons – hard to find (underground) and pricey
