If you want to add a little fun into a dining experience, try fondue! It helps that my colleague had been to other franchises, knew the scoop, and had suggestions for ordering. It’s a good menu selection; and while the portions aren’t huge, the pacing of them, the fondue prep, the dipping, the cooking time, helps the diner moderate consumption – give yourself and your party time to enjoy; you will be satisfied by the end of dessert. We started with the traditional gruyere cheese fondue dipping bread and veggies, followed by the salad, then the main entree (choice meats cooked shabu-shabu style by boiling in broth), and finally the chocolate/marshmallow/oreo cookie fondue. All in all, a satisfying meal, with friendly, helpful service. The chocolate fondue was divine! They offer specials for larger groups. Try something different!Pros + Great food and serviceCons – Need time to dine

While we were not blown away by Mirabelle, we left with an overall positive impression. Crabcake and shrimp appetizers were plated with complex but complimentary flavors. Duck entree, while fattier than would have liked, was paired with a merlot-fennel sauce that was unexpected and interesting. Didn’t get details on my companions’ meals but got full-mouthed nodding regarding the beef tenderloin and shrimp entrees. Peanut butter torte was salty and sinful, but bittersweet chocolate tart could’ve been sweeter for the American palate. Restaurant didn’t seem noisy until you tried to talk. And it wasn’t full on a recent Saturday night, but UT football was playing.Pros + Sauce/flavor pairings, Quick seatingCons – , Some service issues

Now for the finest in French Cuisine, Aquarelle is the last place you will look. There really is no other place like this.

Chez Nous is small but the staff is very attentive and the food is great. You do not find sweet breads on many menus but here they are wonderfully prepared. The escargot and the duck mousse pate are excellent. We did have to wait a bit but stood at the bar and had wine. Highly recommend.Pros + Excellent StaffCons – Parking; Hilton hotel is a half block away and has available parking
