Provence is making tsome of the most delicious food in Hillsboro Village. The new Chef, Kim, serves a wonderfull Whole Chicken. It is so moist when you heat it up at home and is in another class from all the “rotisserie chickens” out their on the market. As for coffee, finally someone has the desire to streamline their coffee offerings and serve quality coffee (Dancing Goat was not as good as people think). As for the soups and sandwiches, they are served on artisan bread and made daily from fresh ingredients. They now make the finest soup and great salads. Granted, the service needs improvement and the place needs a good paint job with new furniture. But you get real Europen style breads and pastry made daily from scratch. I admire these guys for opening a new store in these hard times. I can’t wait til our Mother’s day meal…where Chicken, ratatouille, rouille with tuscan bread, blue cheese savory tarts with leeks and mushrooms, and a chocolate cheese cake will take center

After spending 6 months overseas, my wife and I decided to go to Midtown last Saturday night. It was like returning to an old friend. We were seated at our favorite table. Our waiter took really good care of us. We had a great bottle of wine. My wife ordered the Black and Blue Tuna and I had the filet. But first we had the famous Midtown Cafe crabcakes as a starter. It is so nice to come back to someplace that still has the same quality. We can’t wait to go back!Pros + Great food Great Service

Best food in Nashville. Chef Deb knows her stuff & combinations of herbs, spices, & choice of accompaniments superb. Mixed review due to inattentive server. Greatly disappointed with only one vegetarian entree & like previous reviewers, was told must call ahead ?special requests.? If so, WHY does Zola make a point of playing to the vegetarian aspect of their menu? Luckily, the one vegetarian entree was delicious, & if it had been served hot, rather than room temperature, we would?ve been 100% satisfied. (Not on the chef, but server, who delayed delivery.) Lamb entree too was room temperature, however, flavors are exquisite! Had lamb in Greece & this was even better. Tender, moist, flavorful! Accompanying grilled eggplant sandwich divine. Sides: Sugar peas in butter sauce, spinach w/ parm & grilled zucchini. All excellent, favorite zucchini. Pleasantly surprised at generous portion size?enough for leftovers. Best dish: Fried Casseri Cheese Starter with roasted tomatoes, spinach
