where is the best golf course(s) in Udon?
There are five courses in or near Udon and I’ve played all of them a number of times, my personal ranking of the local courses is: 1 – Victory Park near Nong Khai (18 holes – 4 x par 3, 10 x par 4, 4 x par 5) 2 – Sri Thani (9 holes – 2 x par 3, 5 x par 4, 2 x par 5) 3 – Udon Golf Club (also known as 18k – distance from Udon in kilometres on road to Nong Bua Lamphu) (9 holes – 2 x par 3, 5 x par 4, 2 x par 5) 4 – Airforce (Lions Military) (9 holes – 2 x par 3, 5 x par 4, 2 x par 5) 5 – Army (Nong Samrong) (9 holes – 5 x par 3, 2 x par 4, 2 x par 5) I enjoy all the local courses in different ways, however if I was to rank them in of order of difficulty (with “1” being easiest) it would be: 1 – Sri Thani 2 – Airforce (Lions Military) 3 – Army (Nong Samrong) 4 – Victory Park 5 – Udon Golf Club (18k) – not for beginners!
