Where is the Best Hair Salon in Orlando, Florida?
I decided to go to Alta Moda only because my regular stylist transfered there. When I walked in I was greeted and offered a drink. The owner walked over to me and said hi which I thought was nice. The products they used and sale are actually very good. The only problem I had was the fact that I had to go outside every 2 hours to pay for parking. I did not feel comfortable parking in the garage because it was getting dark. The other problem is that they do not let you know which service is at an extra cost. Everytime I go to get the same service the cost is different. I do not mind paying for great service but would like to know if my bill is over $100.00 This is a great salon if you can afford to go. You do get what you pay for and I would recommend it to others.Pros + Very professional and very good stylistCons – Parking, not letting clients know how much services cost
I’ve been going to the salon for a couple of years now and Michelle has been my stylist during this time and I can’t say enough about her. She’s great!! She has colored, highlighted and cut my hair over the years and I’ve always been happy with the results. I’ve never walked out of there thinking that I’ll have to “do it myself” when I get home because I always like the way she styles it and I get a lot of compliments too. I’ve also had my eyebrows waxed and that is where it’s hit or miss…you never get the same person twice because they don’t stay employed there long enough. Not sure why but there is a definite problem in that department. Sometimes they’re waxing skills are up to par, others, not even mediocre.
Just so you don’t think this salon is only for those looking for funky cut/color, I am a 45-year old professional (and mom to a 5-year old), and I can’t have a crazy cut/color in my line of work. The stylists at Shine are very versatile and have the skills to make everyone look great! I have lived many places in the US (big cities and small towns) and every time I move I search long and hard for a new salon & stylist. When it comes to my hair, I am not a bargain shopper — I don’t care what it costs me as long as the results are good. In spite of this, usually I can’t find anywhere that I would go to more than once. This is not the case with Shane @ Shine. He always does an amazing job and I feel like a million bucks when I walk out! I just went 2 weeks ago — cut and highlights.
