Where is the Best Hamburger in Los Angeles, California?

We went to the new one (on Helms Ave) on a weeknight. It had a really nice atmosphere and lots of people. We were there for a few hours (spent nearly $500) celebrating someone’s graduation and found out that they did not have desserts. Two in our party (of 12) went to the bakery next door for a few pastries and we were basically kicked out when we tried to eat them in the restaurant. We spoke to the manager and he said it was their strict policy. We would have gladly bought from them had they had desserts on the menu. And we had planned to keep buying beer and appetizers from their menu. So, this is not a good place to celebrate if you want anything sweet—they won’t even allow you to bring in a birthday cake.

This is one of LA most controversial burger spots, and all the excuses for the nay-sayers are illegitimate, to put it lightly. Adored by all the folks I grew up with on the Westside, the Apple Pan is a historical landmark of epic tastiness. Pricey? Yes. Worth it? HELL YEAH! I highly suggest the “Hickory Cheesey,” the Hickory Burger with a thick slice of Tilamook cheddar, and their near-perfect fries. The burger’s barbecue sauce in combination with the chunk of hand-leafed iceberg lettuce “set off” this burger. It is my favorite burger in LA (along with the Double-Double, and the burger at Father’s Office)The place hasn’t changed much in the past 50 years, as you may notice from the original counter top and swivel stools. The waiters range from the smugly rude little fella on the left counter, to the always smiling Gordon on the right side. Gordon is the gray-haired monster of a man who is always working late nights, and is always happy to refill your ketchup plate without you needi

For a fast food chain better than most. Franchise has put more effort into making a fast food burger more visually appealing and tasty. Served warm with plenty of napkins and good portion of fries. Not a bad pit stop.Pros + parking, service, clean

Once you have had an In N Out burger, you will never again go to McDonalds or any other fast food burger place. I have heard people complain about their fries…well it’s because they’ve never had fresh french fries before. They are used to frozen fries. Their shakes are the creamiest you can get because they’re made with butter cream, not milk. When you go to In N Out you are getting fresh food, not something that has ever been frozen, pre-made, or sitting under a heat lamp. And how can you beat their prices? So much cheaper than other fast food places but with better food! And if you’re religious you should look under the cups and at the bottom of the hamburger wrapper where you will find a bible verse. I hope In N Out never sells itself to another fast food company. There have been rumors but I pray they are just rumors. I hope the grandaughter will see what a great business she has inherited and carry on the family tradition instead of selling out. However, wouldn’t it be great if
