Where is the Best Hamburger in New York, New York?

I was so excited when I heard that Pop Burger was opening on 58th St but I went there once and now will never go back. The burgers are OK (nowhere near the quality of Goodburger), but more importantly I was horrified to see that the person who is handling the burger is also the one picking up the garbage. I saw with my own eyes the server pick up the trash can with all these cruddy food bits hanging over it and with those same hands pick up my burgers to pack them up – no changing his gloves in between! Clearly basic hygiene is not a priority here, go elsewhere unless you want to risk ingesting some bacteria along with your burger.

oh my God…. you know the out of control feeling that you get when you are hangin at home, watching tv, and you eat chip after chip after chip, and its impossible to stop? Imagine that feeling x ten…it happened to me, last Wednesday when I met some friends for what was supposed to be a drink or two after work. Within minutes of scoping the food the waitress was carrying, we ordered practically everything on the giant wall menu. My favorite was, without question, the best burger Ive ever eaten: a medium rare Buffalo Style Beef Burger- with just enough wisconsin blue cheese and buffalo hot sauce to have me “hmmm” all the way thru to my third one…. I also indulged in tater tots- easily as tasty as mom’s, and a milk shake that im positive they will never create at any ice cream parlor: a Mocha Cookie Hard Shake: Kahlua (really) whipped for three minutes with Haagan Daz Cookies and Cream Ice Cream. UNBELIEVABLE, all this food and a buzz! Assuming there was a wee bit of room left in

I have never really felt the need to write a review before. I think it’s sad that just getting good service warrants a review but I have to write about this. I went to Blackstones on a Monday night expecting it to be on the slower side but there was a decent crowd. The cocktail server was great and seemed way too happy. When we asked her why she said she had no reason to be unhappy. Then the reason came or at least my boyfriend and I thought so. We watched a very snotty couple sit down next to us, nothing was right with them from the start but the server just kept smiling and being polite. I almost said something to the couple but my boyfriend gave me that look that meant stay out of it. We ate our hamburgers and my boyfriend stared at the TV over my head, very annoying but had a pleasant time anyway. The food was good (the english muffing bun was odd but we really liked it) but what most impressed us again was the service. We never needed anything and when my boyfriend went to the bar

I went to CSBC this past Sat. morn alone — arrived at 9:20 and was third in line. I didn’t realize they don’t seat until 10am. I watched the line form and a hostess came out to take everyone on the line’s name. When they call you in for your table at 10, all the water and silverware are at your seat. I found the service excellent and very friendly, as was the hostess. No one tried to rush my party of one, either, which can happen. In fact, I asked the hostess and a bus boy questions and was answered very politely and warmly. All of my food came out piping hot with my AMAZING blueberry/maple/butter pancakes emitting steam that could burn your tongue if not careful. Pancakes were so fluffy — if you like IHOP, then go there! The cheesy grits were warm and gooey with all the comfort of home. The bacon is done properly and nice and thick. I truly can’t wait to go back. The couple next to me said the fried green tomatoes were fantastic — they looked that way too — good and crun

Great Place! I’ve loved coming here for over 10 years. Saw it change hands, was nervous, then loved it even more after it re-opened (6-7 years ago). The Burgers have always been the best, hell I think this place is what restarted the Burger Movement we all think we are responsible for. Most places have copied their burger ie: JG, Napkin, Shake, Bobby…the list goes on. All these people came here, started with P.J.’s, then twisted it to make it theirs. You don’t open a burger joint with out having P.J.’s first. Saddest thing to happen, the Meatloaf is gone. A few times they changed the day on me, but I kept up, then…it’s gone! It was the best damn Meatloaf I ever ate! They grilled it for Gods sake, who grills meatloaf…Genius! Bring it back!!!! The chef told me he loved it too, but you have to roll with change. Try some new things, then who knows, maybe it will be back one day. Kind of like the burger revolution, he told me “I’m in my thirties, I’ve been eating burgers
