Where is the Best Happy Hour in Houston, Texas?

Went on a Tuesday night with a business colleague. I’ve eaten here about 5 times in the last 15 years but this review is based on my most recent experience. The atmosphere is pretty hip. The menu options were good. Lots of continental types of cuisine with strong Asian influences (e.g., pork dumplings, Udon noodles). The wine selections went beyond California Chardonnay and Napa Valley Cabernet. We enjoyed a reasonably priced Mer Soleil Chardonnay (unoaked, Central Coast) that complemented our food nicely. My appetizer was a modern take on Fried Green Tomatoes and my dining companion had some Asian pork dumplings. Both were pretty tasty…but not “perfect.” The entrees were a Daily Special pork chop (Berkshire Farms?) and scallops. Both were very good…but not quite excellent. The server was an automaton…his advice was “I recommend the more expensive item.” Avoid him. He was a tall guy with short hair and some sort of facial hair. Should probably work at Joe’s Crab Sha

We both really enjoyed our experience here. The wine list is varied and very accomodating for the seafood fare offerings. The Oysters Rockefeller that we tried as an appetizer were wonderful, but they only give you five of them on an order. I would prefer to be able to order a dozen, without having to place two and a half orders. But they were delectable. The ambience of McCormick & Schmick’s is really upscale, formal, and cozy. It’s a great spot to share a romantic evening with someone special. Their fresh fish offerings are all delicious. It’s definately a “must try” experience for anyone in Houston who loves seafood, great service, and formal surroundings. Dress up, take a special date, and make a nice evening out of it. You will not be disappointed.Pros + Fresh Seafood, Great Service, Good Wine ListCons – Pricey

Read reviews from citysearch and thought going there for their crawfish special. Service is quick except when seating, no one helps. Waitress comes to us within couple minutes and bring drinks right away. recommend us happy hour specials. very nice. crawfish is great and spicy. We also had a chich philli cheese and it is the best chick sandwich we ever had. Food comes to table quick. Waitress comes by a few time during meal to check on us and replace filled bucket (alot crawfish shells). We had good time there. Will go again.Pros + crawfish, serviceCons – indoor is small, parking

I love Baker St. Pub! The specials are great for Rice Village and the food is yummy…especially the hamburgers! You can sit inside or outside under a canopy and there’s lots of space. You can play pool or darts inside or just chill and people watch. My friends love to hang out here! Parking can be a small problem if it’s later at night, but you can always pay for the garage convenience. Pros + Specials, FoodCons – Parking

I had my first sushi experience last weekend. Yes, I somehow made it a quarter of a century without ever giving sushi a chance. Being a vegetarian I just never thought I had any options but the friend…
