My friend and I went to dinner last Saturday, and arrived at Latest Dish at about eight pm. We walked in and were almost immediately greeted and seated. The place is small but friendly, the decor is trendy/cute, and there were people milling around, all comfortable. We were seated next to the bathroom door, which made me think of the review here that mentioned the bathroom location. =) The waitress came over right away, and we ordered a bottle of wine, some appetizers, and dinner. I ordered tea, which was the most awkward part of the night: she made a big deal about bringing over a big box full of tea, from which I was to choose whichever bag I wanted. This was to be put into the small mug of hot water she had brought over. I thought this was a little annoying; just ask me what kind of tea I want! Anyway, I ordered spring rolls and seitan meatloaf with mash, and my friend ordered duck egg rolls and scallops. Delicious! The wine was great, and not too too over priced. We ord

It might seem like a contradiction to say that a place has “space” as a pro and “no room to move” as a con, but it’s accurate. Plough and the Stars’ biggest problem is that it draws so much of a crowd. The staff at Plough are great. Most are very knowledgeable about beers on tap, as well as what each beer is and what food it might go well with. If you roll through there a lot, the bouncers will definitely remember you. The bartenders are no joke. You can give them a five drink order and it’s very rare you’ll find anything isn’t right. They also pour a pretty heavy drink; there are no watered down drinks at Plough. Before the crowd arrives, there’s ample room on two floors to enjoy yourself. You can find plenty of space to sit as well as stand or dance to the good range of music they play. Some may not like it, but I personally enjoy not feeling like I have American Top 40 on in the bar all the time. On the down side…well, it does get damn crowded. And when it gets crowd

This is the best place for a good hearty lunch, a great office party, or just to relax after shopping. I truly find this place to be one of the best in town. As many years as I have worked in town, I never miss the chance to go to the Irish Pub. Once you are seated, it is very easy to forget to return to work since the food is filling and the service is great. Keep up the good work.Pros + good food, good service, great value

The food is okey. The crowd there is mostly middle eastern. The place gets very crowded on Thursdays, and the weekend nights. You have to wait for a table on any of those nights. Some people there just come and smoke hookah for hours and drink water, so you may end up standing with your drink. People smoke cigaretes over your shoulder all around, push, step on your feet and don’t care.. There are many other better places to enjoy your night in Philadelphia.
