This is a beautiful hotel on the best real estate on the Strip. You are in the middle of the action here, and I love this property primarily for that reason. Service for an average customer (one who is not playing thousands on every hand) is average. The concierge will simply give you telephone numbers to make your own dinner and private car reservations, rather than doing it for you like the Wynn and Bellagio. The basic room is okay. It was clean and had a spa tub but no minibar. Also they keep the bottled water and ice bucket on a shelf near the toilet in the bathroom. Yuck! The upgraded rooms are much nicer and do have minibars and flat panel TVs. The property is very large, and that means it is also very spread out. Bring your walking shoes. I’d stay again for the location, but not for the service. It is good for groups that want to party and gamble in a high-energy setting full of beautiful people and surroundings. It is not the place to feel pampered or catered to.

Aueole, in Las Vegas, is a large restaurant with a very large glass enclosed wine tower. Women in harnesses travel up and down the tower retrieving bottles of wine. The wine list is extensive. However, they provide the list on a small computer which is slow. The menu is a pre-fix of $75 for 3 cousrses and a tasting menu for $95. The food was good however, it was not special enough to be worth the price. In New York, Charlie Palmer’s Kitchen 22 has a pre-fix of $25 for 3 courses and the food is just as good. As a matter of fact, my husband had the butternut squash soup at both restaurants and preferred Kitchen 22 better. Several items appeared on both menus. With drinks, the bill will be well over a hundred dollars per person and the overall experience is worth less then that.Pros + glass wine tower, serviceCons – price

I’m kind of conflicted about this hotel but overall I will give it high marks for several reasons… Check in was fast and I thought efficient until we went up to our room and realized that our keys didn’t work. Neither of them. After several attempts. We wandered back down to the reception where they were very quick to help us. After realizing that they checked us into the wrong room under someone else’s name they upgraded us the the fancy end suite with a fantastic view of the strip. This was really surprising since we aren’t the demanding types and were actually kind of cool about the screw up, you know how the saying goes… no harm, no foul, right? The manager (Alessandra?) was terrific in correcting the mistake. The room itself was very, very nice. I like the idea of a suite when I am staying somewhere for more than a day and this place didn’t disappoint. Also a second bathroom comes in handy too. The bed was really comfy and the bathtub really does fit two people! This hotel is
