Where is the Best Ice Cream in Atlanta, Georgia?
Excellent personality for what we normally see here in the states. Picture all the ice cream shops, smoothie places and desert places you’ve been too.This is like none of them. It’s really genius the way Paolo has brought entertainment and variety to this small shop.The gelato is homemade and most of everything else is too. It’s a little pricey, but I always make room for this after dinner in the neighborhood.There is a great temptation to over indulge, but I just make it my goal to return again soon.Pros + Super deserts. Social scene and no problem waiting.Cons – You’ll want to go again and again.
We love Carvel!! I just found one in Smyrna on South Cobb Drive by accident on my way home. You have to try this ice cream. It is the best. They make it at the store. The cake mix carvelanches are great. We never had thiose in NY. The ice cream cakes are to die for. I bought a Carvel cake at a Publix a year ago and thought Carvel died. Well, not so. The cakes made at the store are fresh and tasty. You have to try it! The Carvel cakes in the supermarket are shipped in from a factory and quite frankly are not very good. Oh and I love the NY attitude! This is the place you want to go to with friends or family. They just need to to start selling coffee but they let you bring it in from next door!Pros + Best Ice Cream, Great price!, Fun!
I’ve never written a review before, but I read the reviews prior to coming to this place and wanted to throw my two cents in as well. This place was great! We went in around 2:30 on Saturday, and of course at that time they weren’t very busy. The place had a nice atmosphere, was clean, and decorated nicely. My boyfriend mentioned that he wished they had a small TV by the bar so he could check the scores of the games, but that was our only minor complaint. Our order was taken as soon as we were ready, and we ordered a bottle of wine as well. We were suprised by the wine service, it was very formal and the waitress did a great job at it. Our food arrived pretty quickly, and was exactly as we had ordered it. I had the Pineapple Curry Fried Rice (Vegetable) and it was seriously amazing – so good that my boyfriend and I got another order to-go to split for dinner.
