Where is the Best Irish Pub in Denver, Colorado?

I have been going to The Celtic ever since it first opened around 8-9 years ago. It may not be fully “authentic Irish”, but it is certainly more so than “Faux-do” (Fado) near Coors Field. They have a great selection of beers, the ambience is very casual, and (if you happen to smoke), it’s just about the only game in town (unless you want to fork over wads of cash to watch strippers at The Diamond Cabaret, or hang out at the rather stuffy Churchill Bar at the Brown Palace). There is also (usually) a live band playing on Saturday nights. If you’d rather not deal with the smoke, you can just wander next door to their sister pub, Delaney’s (where they have live music on Fridays).Slainte!Pros + Ambience (smoke and all), beer selectionCons – A bit testosterone-heavy some nights

The Irish Snug is my favorite bar in Denver. I’ve been going since 2005 (though irregularly since the basement was added) and I’ve always loved the look and feel. It’s as close as you can get to experiencing an Irish pub without having to skip over the pond to Dublin. However, since the basement was added a while back, it went from a tight-knit and down-to-earth regular crowd to it becoming a trendier, busier bar with lots of frat boys.I’d still recommend it, especially during warm summer days and whenever the trad group is playing. They have great happy hour deals and their curry chips are great!Pros + Feels like a Dublin pub without spending on the plane ticketCons – It’s become a bit frat-boy since the basement was added

We came up from Phoenix for vacation in Denver. Before we came to Denver we researched the local Irish pubs in 303 and Nallen’s was highly recommended. Thank-you to all of you who recommended it. The staff was fabulous, friendly and very accommodating. Sara, our server and from Ireland, was on top of it, very friendly and helpful. Prices were more than reasonable, a wide selection of brews and liquor, and authentic atmosphere. While we were there we ran into a bit of twilight-zone situation (a jealous woman threw a bottle of beer at her husband who happened to be talking to us) and my girlfriend was cut by the glass of the bottle. The staff was immediately responsive and very concerned for her health. They took her back and fixed her up rightly. They promptly replaced our beers and were genuinely concerned with her well being. We will be here for the St. Paddy’s Day festivities and you can bet we will be at Nallen’s. It’s good to know that there still exists a pub that honestly cares a

If I were rating this place on my dinner, the service, or atmosphere alone I would give it 5 stars for sure. Unfortunately I have to factor in the beverages and that drops the overall score to 3 (and it would be 2.5 if I could give half stars). First the good part. Cute waitress with a bubbly personality and a fireplace, I don’t know how you could go wrong. The food outstanding, best fish fry I’ve had outside of the Midwest and only my grandma could make boxty that tasy. Now the bad part. I ordered a Guinness and I haven’t ever wondered what it would taste like if you let it sit out in the sun in the sun for 3 weeks after straining it through a pair of dirty socks?but now I know. So I asked to replace my Guinness with a Smithwick’s and when I explained why I could tell the bartender had no idea what Guinness is supposed to taste like or that he was a indeed, a total assclown. My guess is that there CO2/Nitrogen system isn’t working at all, isn’t working properly, or is just non-existe
