Where is the Best Irish Pub in Denver, Colorado?

I came here on a Friday night around 9pm. The bar was not crowded at all–it felt like it almost had a “neighborhood corner bar” kind of atmosphere. There was a live band on the stage to provide entertainment. The bartender was quick to refill drinks so I was happy with the service. My friend was impressed that they had Tullamore Dew, since surprisingly, not all Irish bars here in Denver actually stock it. The parking lot, however, was SUPER crowded. This irish bar is in a shopping plaza, so there’s really no danger of running out of parking; however, another bar a few doors down draws a much larger crowd (also a much younger crowd), so expect to park relatively far away.Pros + they actually have Tullamore DewCons – parking lot is crowded with barely 21-year olds

My husband and I visited here in 2006 and then again on 3/17/07. Initially we found the place lively and interesting, the food was “ok” although the service was a bit slow. Tonight we visited again (it’s St. Patrick’s Day) and the whole experience was a nightmare. We were warned before entering that they “had corned beef but we’re out of cabbage” Ok…not that I was craving the cabbage, but it IS an irish Restaurant on St. Patrick’s Day….Anyway, we didn’t wait that long for a table, but waited 20 minutes for a server who announced that they were out of Guinness. This is at 8 pm on ST PATRICK’S DAY at an IRISH PUB. We got up and left without ordering a single thing. Boo Clancy’s!!!Cons – poor service, poor management

Atmosphere good, food good, quick service, watch servers namely (Lori) for adding on to tips after 20% set amount. Kinda rude. Actual restaurant great.Cons – stealing money by adding unauthorized extra tips

This is in response to the review posted by ronrossi22 on 7/1/2006. I am a member of the group that played that night and am very sorry to hear that the comments made were enough to make you leave the restaurant. Although I believe that everyone has a right to their opinion, airing our political views to an audience that has chosen to spend their precious time listening to our music is not the appropriate place to do so. Please accept my sincere apology and I hope this does not keep you from visiting the Celtic Crossing again.Sincerely,Vickie Jones

If I were rating this place on my dinner, the service, or atmosphere alone I would give it 5 stars for sure. Unfortunately I have to factor in the beverages and that drops the overall score to 3 (and it would be 2.5 if I could give half stars). First the good part. Cute waitress with a bubbly personality and a fireplace, I don’t know how you could go wrong. The food outstanding, best fish fry I’ve had outside of the Midwest and only my grandma could make boxty that tasy. Now the bad part. I ordered a Guinness and I haven’t ever wondered what it would taste like if you let it sit out in the sun in the sun for 3 weeks after straining it through a pair of dirty socks?but now I know. So I asked to replace my Guinness with a Smithwick’s and when I explained why I could tell the bartender had no idea what Guinness is supposed to taste like or that he was a indeed, a total assclown. My guess is that there CO2/Nitrogen system isn’t working at all, isn’t working properly, or is just non-existe
