Where is the Best Italian Food in Houston, Texas?

I grew up in the back of a ravioli shop and eat some sort of southern italian dish at least once a week. Needless to say, I avoid Italian restraraunts. But I gave this place a try. I was with 2 other people and the proportions were very reasonable. I like how they walked us through the kitchen on the way to our table. I went on a Monday night, so there was no wait. They give out a lot of wine and they appear to use a lot of fresh ingrediants (very essential in Italian cooking). I wouldn’t ask someone to marry me there, but it’s not a child-inf*sted smoking closet either. In terms of expense, I would say all Italian restraraunts are expensive given the fact that the food costs about 15 cents to produce and maybe 20 cents to prepare. So a $15.00 plate of spegetti and meatballs is like a 10000% mark-up. If you don’t how to cook it and you enjoy eating Italian food, then you can’t go wrong with this place as a casual dinner.

You must try Damian’s for a memorable dining experience that includes delectable hot, homemade Foccacia Bread w/ dipping oils served at the table on arrival to start your meal & a menu variety to include such wonderful appetizers as Fried Calamari (lightly battered and very tender) w/marinara, asparagus with proscuitto and one of the best tableside prepared Ceasar salads as well as a good Tradit. Italian Salad (Insalada Mista). We have had many of their delicious entree’s, most notable are their nightly fresh fish dishes (Halibut when in season & flounder prepared in light wine/ butter sauces and assorted toppings varying nightly and all quite tasty). The Beef Filet & Lamb Chops are cooked to perfection and one of my favorites is their Chicken Menichino (Balsamic Glazed Grilled Chicken with sundried Tomatoes and Goat Cheese). For Pasta Lovers, the Eggplant Parmasean is good served with Linguini and Marinara. There are truly too many wonderful dishes to mention all here. They serve a p

This place is one of the worst places I have ever been. I called about a week before going to get information and some ditzy girl answers the phone laughing and laughing and says, ‘please hold’, not even a hello, or can you please hold and wait for my reply, just laughing and they have no idea who is on the other end of the phone. After holding for a while the brain-dead girl finally answered and answered my question.A week later I stop in for lunch, front receptionist sits me at a table with menu. I wait and wait and wait….no one comes to see me. Finally I get up and find the receptionist and tell her I would like to order. She follows me back to my seat and takes my order. After a few minutes she brings my ice tea and disappears. Still I sit not having seen a single waiter. After a while someone comes to my table and drops off my food. Again NO WAITER. I run out of ice tea and NO ONE even knows I am alive. I have to get up and track down someone to get me some tea. Finall

Waffling means to go back and forth…yeah, to the waffle station at Quattro. If you have a fat wallet and you are devout fan of National Waffle Day, you can’t go wrong with the Four Seasons’ brunch.Simple, warm maple syrup over a fresh, toasty mini waffle, makes one forget about filling up with overly-decorated waffles, bland pancakes, or heavy bagels from the regular breakfast greasy-spoons. Create each mini waffle with different fruit and fresh whipped cream for dessert, and order your coffee black to contrast the tastes. Kids can also order Belgian waffles with warm maple syrup from the children’s menu. The Four Seasons is known for their best brunch in any city, but I would only go here if I were splurging for Thanksgiving or Christmas to experience their lavish decorations and taste a variation of gourmet versions of traditional dishes. Brunch during the holidays is close to $80 per person and close to $30 for kids. Hopefully, you have a small family with a big appetite.
