Where is the Best Italian Food in Minneapolis, Minnesota?

This was my first time at Arezzo. This place was recommended by a friend. I didn’t make a reservation, but went early on a Saturday (5 p.m.). Lovely and prompt service. The place got busy between 6-7 p.m., but our service didn’t deteriorate. Appetizers were clamari (that was melt-in-your-mouth tender) and spinach in olive oil, garlic and pine nuts. Just enough garlic to flavor the spinach, but not overpower the dish. My entree was a pork loin chop stuffed with apples, italian ham and cheese on top of garlic mashed sweet potato and a cream sauce. Wonderful! Portion was exceptional, very filling, tender and moist. For dessert, three of us share the tiramisu. It was a huge portion. Although it was delicious, we couldn’t finish it. This wasn’t “done up” tiramisu, (I’ve had tiramisu at other gourmet Italian restaurants where they put orange zest in the dessert, which overpowered the dish). This was the traditional, well done tiramisu! This fine fare was priced right. Nice restaurant for fr

Forget where you are and step into a metropolitan-style Italian Eatery. The restaurant is nicely done and large for a mall location. It’s a bit noisy and crowded, but you’ll forget that when you taste the inventive flavors from the menu (try the Balsamic Vinegar glaze!). It’s “upscale” Italian, not “home-cooking” and certainly not the American “chain restaurant-style” Italian. Some dishes are generous (Marsala), others not so generous (Ravioli). The server’s are happy to answer any questions you have about the extensive menu and offer recommendations. On a Saturday evening, our wait was longer, but not too long and it’s well worth the wait. They have a Wine Room (which is also used for private parties), but don’t expect fine wines – mostly young California wines here. Overall, I loved this restaurant, it’s my new favorite in the TC area.Pros + Food, Selection, ServiceCons – Noise, Mall Parking, Crowded

We made a 7 pm Friday reservation and were seated within 5 minutes. I think it helped we were a party of 2. The dining room was crowded & noisy but we could carry on a conversation without raising our voices. Our server was prompt & friendly but too way too wordy. She indicated they had a red (nondsicript) wine on “special” that we ordered. Unfortunately, I neglected to ask the cost. The Mediterranean salad we shared was wonderful. Our meals were hot, fantastic and huge! (one entree shared would have been more than adaquate for us) It was a shame to waste all that food but we were staying a a local hotel and couldn’t take a doggie bag. The red wine, as I said, was OK but definately not “special” until I got the final bill for $10 per half full glass. Shame on me for not asking. If I pay $10 or more a glass I expect a nice wine not one out of a carton, which is what this red tasted like. We probably will go back but I don’t think I will be interested in any of the servers chatter about

Having dined at Buona Sera for several years now, I have come to expect, if not enjoy, the hustle and bustle of what is a fabulously popular little hideaway. You don’t always get your table on time, but they also NEVEr push you out of your table once you are seated. The food is top notch. One example: I ordered the Rainbow Trout once and loved it. I can back, they were out. Next time, same thing. Finally, I asked Raffael and he said in his broken ItalEngish “If I don’t get good quality, I don’t get. I cannot find good Trout, so you cannot have it. These people (waving around the room) maybe they never had the Trout here and they love what I can get. But you, you have had the good Trout. You order it now, it’s not so good, and maybe you think Buona Sera is also not so good. So, my friend, I am sorry but I cannot serve it. It was off the menu the next time we were in. The steaks are quite good and the Seafood Soup is unequaled. Expensive and unequaled.Pros + The experience. The whole
