this place is fun. my kids loved watching the chef chop and cook the food right in front of us. i’d always hear good things about this place and i found just what i had heard. the food was good and we all loved it.

I have been going to this restaurant since it was called Benkay and I was in high school some 15 years ago. I am disappointed to see it slipping away the way it is. I just don’t understand it. They are always busy, no matter when I go. When I dined there this week, I saw a server fix a seat with duct tape. Their servers are for the most part new and just don’t have what the ones of the past did. It’s often my drink goes unfilled for quite some time. The food is fantastic, but the portions of teriyaki just keep getting smaller. I would comment on their sushi, but I’m no connoisseur. I’ll only say that I have no complaints. The avocado is fresh. The seaweed is not chewy. The rice is perfect. I hate to write this as I absolutely adore it and still go at least once a week, if not more.
