Where is the Best Lounge in Denver, Colorado?
This review is a response to the review posted about the “shady waitress.” I am the manager at DDS and was contacted by the husband of the young lady who had a tip posted to her credit card without her permission. I researched their complaint and found that there had been no tip posted to their account by our waitress or our establishment. When I called back to confirm this with the couple, they acknowledged that, indeed, there was no charge to their card other than the charge that was authorized by the cardholder. They then apologized for the accusation.Unfortunately, most credit card processing companies will “hold open” or “ping” a debit card, and sometimes a credit card, to make sure there are sufficient funds in the account to hold open a tab at a bar. This “credit check” has nothing to do with the establishment and seems to be a universal practice among credit card processing companies. Usually, this amount is $50, but it can vary. on my way to Lodo’s for lunch I saw that Mattie’s was open for lunch so i decided to try it. the inside was beautiful and i was seated right away. the service was great and i had the best tenerloin beef sandwich ever. the food was fast so i wasn’t rushed in eating. Mattie’s is the best kept secret for lunch in lower downtown.Pros + great price, beautiful place, great food
I occasionally find myself at the Red Room on Weekend nights to kick back with some pals and cocktails and enjoy the night. The Red Room is a great place to do this, with a very laidback atmosphere, but also a good place to meet people. The drinks aren’t outrageously expensive and they have pretty good food too. Definitely a good place to check out.
This is your typical trendy place in Denver where the business model is to attract boring products of society (aka tools) and manipulate them into spending as much money as possible. It’s one of those places where all the tables have a card that reads “reserved” and the bouncers won’t let you sit unless you get bottle service for $200 per bottle with tip. I went there on a Friday and it was full of pretentious 20 somethings who think they are chic. The DJ was horrible and could not match a beat to save his life. Overall, this place is a joke.Additionally, it seems as though EVERY positivie review on Citysearch about this place was likely written by a manager or owner of this place trying to pose as a customer. Just read them for yourself, they sound very fake.Hey fellow Denver people, you don’t really like places like this, right?
