Where is the Best Luxury Hotel in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania?
One of the very best surprises I found in Philly was the Sofitel Philadelphia. This hotel is pure European elegance in the heart of the city. From the moment I walked into the lobby, it was as though I had entered a different world…a world which only became more lovely after a fast, efficient and courteous check-in procedure. As a business traveler, I was thrilled upon entering my room. It was large, well appointed, quiet, with all of the amenities one could ask for, and then some. The beds were comfortable, the closet was huge, and it was complete with ironing board and iron, a safe, laundry bags, lots of hangers….anything one could want. And the bathroom….my goodness, I felt like I was in another world as I opened the double French doors into the spa-like bath with separate shower…it was incredible. In the morning, before my meetings, I went down to Cafe Colette for terrific croissants and coffee from a press. There were newspapers offered….it was simply a lovely way to sta
I took my sister here to relax about a week before her wedding (since she was very stressed) The spa area is located right near the pool, so you can choose to wait for services poolside. The pool area is beautiful and has a waterfall feature which is very relaxing. I had an amazing facial experience with Sandra. Unfortunately, there seemed to be some confusion over our appointments. There is only one room for facial treatments. Instead of telling me that they couldn’t do the facials at the same time, the staff just kept looking at the appointment screen, acting confused, and talking amongst themselves while my sister and I were trying to relax right next to them in the waiting area. Finally, I asked them what the problem was and they pretended there was no problem initially and then confessed we wouldn’t be able to do the facials simultaneously.
