Acu-Chi Mind & Body Center is the best day spa and wellness center I have been to. Such high quality treatment and employees. I love the acupuncturist there. She is always able to figure out what is going on with my system and treat it. I love the facials I get there. They have made me health by taking care of my body, mind and spirit. My husband and I enjoy a couples massage every week. They have the best massage therapist. I feel so happy to have found such a great place to go and juts relax…Pros + great service, great price, great location
I recently moved to Scottsdale from Georgia. My husband has been transferred around quite a bit and the worst part about moving is trying to find a competent hair stylist. It took me over a year to find somebody I really loved in Georgia and then we moved about 6 months later. Anyway, after we moved to Scottsdale I had my hair cut for the very first time by a woman that came very highly recommended. My hair was cut in one of those asymetrical bobs that is very popular right now. This woman had no idea how to cut my hair. She used a razor and hacked it to pieces. And then the way she styled it reminded me of an old-lady hair style. It looked horrible and for weeks I really couldn’t do anything with it. I, of course, was not going back to her. I was recommended to somebody in Old Town Scottsdale, but I live in North Scottsdale and didn’t feel like driving that far. I went to the salon and they quoted me starting at $95 for full highlight. I got a partial highlight and they colored the under layer of my hair 1 shade and I paid $270!! I almost had a heart attack. It was a great color and cut but no better than anywhere else I’ve ever gone. I have never spent that much on a cut and highlight. I thought the quality was good but not worth the price when I could get the same job done somewhere else for about $100 less.Pros + good area, good parkingCons – way too expensive, shabby interior
I have been going to Salon Surreal for over a year now. You will love the atmosphere from the moment you walk in. The place looks very modern and contemporary and just has an overall fun feel inside. The receptionists are always available to help you right away when you are checking in or simply have a question or two. No matter who your stylist is, they will offer you a drink and sometimes even a small snack. They really do their best to make you feel comfortable and make sure you are having a good experience. Not to mention, all of the girls there, and I mean all, look like supermodels. They all look so glamorous and it will make you feel like you are too! Back to the service: it is amazing! My hair has never looked better! My stylist, Stephanie, always knows what to do and makes sure she asks questions to make sure we are both on the same page about what I want.
