Where is the Best Outdoor Dining in Atlanta, Georgia?

This place has a so so Brunch. The menu is over priced. We went today early to get ahead of the crowd at 10 AM and did reservations. They open at 10 AM on Sunday. The place was empty. The reason is that alcohol is not served until after noon. That means you can avoid all the drunks by going before noon. We had a good server but the coffee was not hot or fresh. The orange juice was very pulpy and sour. We did in fact tell the manager when they came to the table to check on our visit. They seem to be interested and apologized. The food came out fast enough which was like ten minutes. It was luke warm but not hot. The biscuits were cold like they had been made the day before so that was not good. I was not impressed. I like the parent company who has several local places in the area but really this place is not great. It is run of the mill and really has lost the edge. The staff seems alright and the hostes was nice. The place is just not energetic and the staff seems stuck in a funk. I r

This past week, a group of friends and myself, wanted to try out the latest gastropub in the Highlands. My friend insisted on making reservations. Big mistake. I arrived early to the spot, which was formally Dish, one of my fave early haunts in Va.Hi. I was greeted with a sign that said “Seat Yourself”, So I sat at the bar, and cleared a nasty spot. Looked around, and everyone was having cans of PBR and shooters! Well I knew this was no gastropub, but a very, very casual bar that serves food, a la LIttle Five Points. O.K. But I still ordered my Dirty Grey Martini, and the surly bartended made a good one. My party arrived, looked around and thought “say what”, and we seated ourselves on the patio. Well everyone knew just to order a pint, but they were out of our requests. The menu was small, with apps, and mains. We ordered several apps to share. All I remembered was the calamai had a tasty sauce, but it was like rubber, no crunch. And the tuna one, well, canned tuna. I ordered the frie

We are residents of Decatur and eat out very often. We were very frequent Mick’s customers and were sad to see them close. But Parkers has definitely “one upped them” in food and with a beautiful atmosphere and style. This location–particularly the patio– is best in Decatur for people watching, atmosphere, shade– as we LOVE to eat outdoors anytime we can. Their patio is suberb. We have eaten there dozens and dozens of times and have never been disappointed with food or service even one time. The servers are all very good and we have some that have been absolutlety delightful, attentive, fun, and very friendly. The BEST! Everyone makes you feel very welcome from Host to Managers to Owners– as well as servers. Truly our Number 1 Decatur favorite! All they need is those WHEAT rolls as an option they’ll be PERFECT!Pros + Location, View, Food, Service, Owners and Managers!Cons – Can be pricey and need bread variety (ie wheat option)

Recently we had the pleasure to go to The Warren Club, above our old fave Dark Horse Tavern. It’s private, and admittance with a member is required. We climbed those stairs above the Dark Horse, and entered into a refuge away from the masses. This is at the top of the Highlands, and a great outdoor patio, overlooking the street scene. What a great change of pace. Within a few minutes, everyone knows your name, and they make you feel welcome. The owner, Kristy Warren, came up and gave us a wonderful introduction. The drinks were liberal, the buffet was terrific, and we just had a great time. If you want to bypass those long club lines, putting up with out of hand drunks, and want a nice experience, this is it. And joining The Warren, is on our list, we owe it to ourselves.Pros + Privacy, Great Music, Drinks & Food! Friendly Members!Cons – Need To Get In Better Shape For Those Stairs! LOL!

The hubs made a surprise reservation at Two Urban Licks for Valentine’s Day, since he heard some good things about it. We were early for our reservation so we waited at the bar and had a couple of cocktails. I had the Purple Rain specialty drink, rum and simple syrup infused with lemon thyme and lavender. It was very smooth so I had a second. His traditional martini was well executed. Everything was starting out well. When we were seated, it started to go downhill a bit. We were seated at a tiny table with a large fire extinguisher butted right against the table. However, all the two-seater tables are tiny but the extinguisher feature was rather annoying. It was also extremely noisy, crowded, my eyes started to sting a bit from the poor ventilation system. For appetizers we ordered tuna tartare and a barely cooked, thin sliced beef called carpacio. Both were delicious although a miniscule portion size. The tuna was fresh and had a nice light sesame and citrus taste and the beef had
