Where is the Best Outdoor Dining in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania?
Recommend you go. Not for the romance, but the Family Feeling. Loud. Brightly lighted. I had never been here before. We were a party of two; seated immediately on an Oct Saturday nite at 6pm. The place was already filling up. We both ordered off the October Specials Menu – Butternut Raviolio was great. Bracsiole (sp?) was exactly as I remembered as a kid. Coffee was a bit ‘over cooked’ – been on hte hot plate too long. We ordered a fried shrimp dish, I think from the main menu – which was a bit disappointing – I cannot recall the dishs’ name. Our waiter, Emilio, basically left us alone – almost to the point of me having a feeling of ‘self service restaurant’ – “read the specials menu yourself”. I noticed other waiters were more attentive to their tables – explaining and answering patrons’ questions. The bus boys were great – refilling water glasses, and clearing the table. Great atmosphere…..Great scene………..Food was good but NOT completely awesome…..Few places are better….I personally think that dipalmas and bressi markets are the best for italian catering…just google either dipalmas or bressi markets for their sites…renoPros + view……..scene…….Cons – food was not great—just good
