We had reservations for 8:30 and called to say we are late- they saved our table for another 15 minutes and we arrived in the nick of time. We were seated on the patio next to the windows for beautiful LA views. The staff was friendly and the ambience was nice- good music in the background but not too loud. The mojitos were fine, but nothing out of the ordinary. We ordered jumbo scallops to start and they were outstanding. We also ordered the duck, the pork roast and the butterfish with a side of plaintain rice w/guacamole. The food was delicious, albeit the pork and duck tasted a bit too fatty. Oh well, rich food for a reason sometimes. :-)Our server was attentive and we enjoyed the evening. I don’t usually go all out at pricey places, but it’s great to treat yourself once in awhile.Overall, and excellent experience and I may return one day.Pros + Nice atmosphere, views, delish foodCons – a bit pricey

Our party of four had an early reservation so the valet wasn’t around when we arrived. A bit of a problem on Ventura Blvd., but not insurmountable. Hostess seated us promptly and both she and waiter were friendly and competent. We shared three appetizers. All were good – but the duck rillettes were great. We each had an individual entree, but shared the side dish. Should have ordered two sides, but the entree portion was ample. Lamb was a hit as was my fish. Small, but good wine list. Reasonably priced values on wine list. Waiter gave great recommendations all around. Will definitely return to partake of menu which changes with season and what’s fresh in market.Pros + Constantly changing tasting menuCons – Parking

Nice folks here, the food was all good except for the Chinese Chicken Salad: avoid, the sauce is way too tart and sweet.Pros + ServiceCons – Salad

I heard horrible things about this place but I loved it. I think they may have a new chef. Good food. Great drinks. I like that it is a little seedy when its not busy. The first time we came here we had the best waitress not the second but hey I have had worse.Pros + good music, food and drinks

I used to work at the Grove a few years back, and I still crave this food. . . even if I live all the way over in Pasadena!I just went there this past w/e, and tried the Lodeh Soup – a vegetarian curried-flavored soup that has veggies and a side of white rice. OMG! That is now my new favorite!! We also had the mango juice – $1.50 and super yummy – wanna try a mango through a straw?Normally, I crave the Nasi Goreng. . . Singapore fried rice – mix of veggies, egg – tofu or meat of your choice. Yummi! This last visit was a little bland, especially since I had the Lodeh soup – you can choose mild, medium or hot – I suggest just getting the medium (for flavor!), or hot if you can take it.A few years ago, there used to be a guy that worked there that always remembered me and what I ordered. . . customer service and good food? Who can beat that?!This past visit, there was a hispanic girl that was working there – and her customer service skills were DEFINITELY lacking. I put my $$ on th
