Where is the best place to keep a kitty litter box?
I think you’ve got it in the best place because you’re ensuring that you’ll clean it every day. I clean my kitten’s litter box 2 times a day- every morning (to get her nocturnal stuff out) and then about 2 hours before bed. I also use a powder- Glade Deodorizer- that you sift a bit of into the litter and mix it up, and it helps absorb the smell. The other option is to use a different litter that has more odour absorbing particles in it.
Well it depends on your house/apartment…every single place is different. I’ve lived in a bunch of different places and I finally own my own place! Yay! Anywho…so first of all, I use one of those Buddha Dome litter boxes (mostly because my cats kick the litter EVERYwhere, but also because it keeps more litter on the INSIDE of the box rather than the OUTSIDE). I rest a glade glass scent (http://www.glade.com/productDetailPage.a… on top of the Buddha Dome to mask the smell. Also, I clean out the litter box every single morning before I go to work. Most people tell me that they can’t believe I have 2 cats because my place doesn’t smell like cats or dirty litter at all.
