If your goal is to spend a lot of money on a meal, then this certainly is one of the area’s hotspots. The first thing to hit me was that the menu, which was more than 10 pages I believe, was 1/2 advertisements for other companies…After that, choosing something was a challenge – so many things sounded potentially pleasing. However, after making my choice, I found that the entree wasn’t even available… they were “out” of the hamburger I’d requested. I choose a shrimp sandwich, which was average. I then shared a piece of cheesecake with my wife. The lunch was about double what I would normally pay for a meal… more than I’d normally pay for a supper. The restraunt was noisy. The staff was relatively attentive.I will be going again, to see if perhaps I just hit a bad day for the kitchen.Pros + large portions, large selection, cheesecakeCons – expensive, nothing unusual, noisy

Some will find BdB loud, tacky, boisterous and inauthentic. And they would be right. Yes, the portions are enormous, but the food is nowhere near as good as, say, Salvi’s or Moretti’s. BdB is not the place for a romantic first date or anniversary – you find yourself shrieking to be heard – but if you’re looking for a fun night out with friends or having an informal celebration of some kind, I’d say check it out. The servers do their best to take care of everyone but don’t expect your glass to be refilled immediately. Parking can also suck. Oh, and try the Spumoni with chocolate sauce. Mmmmmm!Pros + Fun & exuberant, LocationCons – Parking, Very noisy, A bit tacky

Brio is a good, solid establishment. The food is quite good, the flatbread is delicious, the location is great, the service is average. Furthermore, the prices are so reasonable, that it’s so easy to just pop in for a casual dinner. We’ve had both dinner parties and dinner catered from this restaurant and the ingredients are consistently fresh, the dishes are to be expected for a good italian place. My only gripe is that we know quite a bit about wines that I don’t need my underaged server making his commentaries.I also very much disagree with the “new yorker” that first posted; we’re new yorkers with good taste and frequent brio for what it is: a good, casual restaurant. Obviously, since your employer didn’t pick up the tab for one of the top restaurants in the city, that’s just indicative of the value of your opinion. Pros + Good food, Delicous flatbread, in eastonCons – , Very busy, Could be long wait

I went to M on my birthday. We loved the decor, the food was very good (the crab cake appetizer – excellent) and service also very good. One bad thing – we got stuck with the table by the front door. Not that there was a draft or excessive noise but I did a walk around and noticed better/more private seating in the back. Lesson 1 – when making reservations ask for a table in the back. Also, M is located in the lobby of an office building and the restaurant bathrooms are in the lobby of the office building – they were clean but I thought that was weird.Pros + Ambiance, Service, FoodCons – expensive

I lived in Columbus for 3 years, so I know the town well. People used to talk up Lindey’s all the time. It was not until I left the city that I actually returned and had dinner there. My bad. It is without question the best restaurant in town, and not to sound snobbish, but I’ve eaten all over the states (French Laundry, Bouchon, Madison Park, Union Square, Gramercy, Le Cirque, David Burke, Robuchon, etc), and as far as Columbus goes, this place is the best. It has its own class and charm, located in German Village, which is the nicest part of the city. The food is always great, and on two occasions my waiters were aspiring chefs, which is a great thing. The menu is pretty standard, but again, it’s all great. Everyone in my party last time (March 2007) loved everything, from the chopped salad, the crab cakes, the veal, the bone-in-ny, and the chicken…it’s all great. In the summer and spring you can eat outdoors and it’s very pleasant.
