I WAS VERY SHOCKED WHEN I PULLED UP TO THIS PLAZA AND FOUND THIS AMAZING RESTRAUNT. THE FOOD IS JUST TO DIE FOR. THE BEST BREAD I’VE EVER HAD AND FOLLOWED BY THE BEST ITALIAN FOOD WE’D EVER HAD. WE’VED LIVED IN THE AREA FOR YEARS AND NEVER KNEW ABOUT THIS PLACE. IT WAS PRETTY BUSY THERE I HAD A 20 MINUTE WAIT WICH DIDN’T BOTHER ME BECAUSE I HAD THE BEST CHARBROILED CALAMRI WHY’LL I WAITED!!!!! THE MEAT SAUCE TASTED SO MUCH LIKE MY NONNA’S I ALMOST CRIED THINKING OF HER. THE STAFF WAS GREAT, FRIENDLY BUT NOT OVER DOING IT. MOST THE PEOPLE IN THERE WERE ITALIAN YOU COULD HERE MORE ITALIAN IN THE PLACE THAN AMERICAN. THE PRICE WAS VERY REASONABLE 50 BUCKS OR SO FOR US BUT WE DON’T REALLY DRINK.MY IN-LAWS HOWEVER SEEMED VERY PLEASED FROM THE WINE LIST. THE ROOM WE SAT IN LOOKED LIKE A ITALIAN VILLAGE,VERY CHARMING AND ALOT OF DETAIL.BE BACK SOON Pros + THE FOOD THE FOOD THE FOODCons – A LITTLE BUSY ON WEEKEND

Food is fantastic but service definitely had problems. Waiter forgot to write down the side dishes we ordered and didn’t even apologize! We had to ask 3 times for our side dishes and finally were told he forgot to include them. Plus, most of my family felt he treated us with some disdain and was condescending. We were there to celebrate a 50th brithday so this really put a damper on the evening. Great food but with that kind of service for those prices, we’ll never come back!Pros + Outstanding cuisineCons – Condescending and forgetful wait staff

We can’t tell you how good or bad this place is. Whenever we call to make reservations for dinner its either really early or really late. But from the looks of other reviews I will save my money and go somewhere else for a fun night.

My friend and I have been going to the Tiger’s Opening Day Buffet at Mario’s (downtown) for 4 or 5 years and it’s always a great time. This year was the best. The place was busy and the staff were helpful, effusive, enthusiastic, and on their toes – from the hostess to the busboys. The buffet is different each year but always good, with each $20 ticket securing a full-size lobster as star of the show. This year’s buffet had a pasta chef and side dishes (involving pasta or potatoes) that I did not try; but I did have seconds of the melt-in-mouth prime rib, two lobsters (I ate my friend’s), tender b-b-q ribs, spinach-stuffed sole, sausage n peppers, baked glazed chicken – and all was good.I’ve been to this Mario’s with neighbors (it’s in my neighborhood), also with suburban friends, out-of-towners, and by myself – and I’ve always had a good time and been treated well. Overall, the food is not mind-blowing, and it’s expensive (my god, don’t have drinks with dinner! and salad is ext

this is a great little family restaurant that is hidden away in an industrial area of town. very limited tables but this is excellent for quiet discussions with your tablemates. The ambiance is great and the staff are properly trained to service customer but leave enough alone for private conversation.the food is excellent and well proportioned, you will not go home hungry. The wine list is extensive but you will pay for the uniqueness of the bottles. All in all an excellent experience and you will return time and time again. I have been in many family restaurants across the US and this rates at the top of my list for experiences. If you are there with a someone special, it’s a sure bet.Pros + ambience, food and definite romantic diningCons – expensive wine selection but they are very good wines so it is a balance.
