I’ve been going to Tommy D’s for almost two years now and its one of my favorite bars in the Square. Dress up or dress down, you can always feel at home there. The bartenders on the top floor get special props for creative mixing (I never know what I want, and they will always make something special) and always being friendly, especially when the bar is a few people deep. This place knows how to BBQ. If you’re form the south, don’t expect anything special, but for the NE crowd, it’s good stuff for sure. Cheap booze, good food and a cool atmosphere too. Try the pulled pork or the St. Louis ribs. Cornbread is a must, but most sides leave somehting to be desireed. No doubt, this place will leave some extra coin in the pocket though. Sandwiches and such start around $7.00 and there is at least one $2.50 beer on the menu.
