Thought the location was super cute and unique. Everything has always been yummy although I have never been to NY so have no comparison. the staff has always been friendly and helpful. Maybe if you don’t arrive with an attitude you don’t get one from the staff.Pros + Amazing FoodCons – Be there early or be prepared to wait

The Grinder is one of the last great sandwich shops, and the owners, Terry and Angel are people of the highest quality, endeavoring to bring us the warmth and personality of a small town, the quality of a gourmet deli, and prices aimed at us working stiffs and “starving students”. Despite their size, they recently catered a banquet of 350 sandwiches without a hitch. Just when you think it can’t get any better you try the coffee. If the sandwiches weren’t so good, we might notice that they’re serving up some of the best coffee in seattle. Those familiar with the “Batdorf & Bronson” name know what i’m talkng about. Try one of their mochas while waiting for your next sandwich order and see if you don’t find yourself there every morning. Bravo you guys. You are doing a wonderful service to us here in the land of “starbucks”. Pros + Incredible prices, Incredible service, Incredible food and cCons – huh?

Went for dinner with friends on a Saturday. No reservations and seated within minutes. The food here is fabulous! Especially the desserts! The waitstaff needs to be more sophisticated. Biggest complaint: the layout. The tables across from the kitchen/bus station need more privacy! Needs a screen or a 4’0 partition wall. The entryway needs a screen or an angled wall to give the tables on the right as you walk in some privacy. Chairs could be put on the other side of the screen/wall for folks to sit while waiting for table. The entryway needs a hostess stand….doesn’t have to be big. I think if you re-worked the layout you could even get a couple more tables in.Dear Owners: You really have something special going here! But please, take a cue from Ovio Bistro’s old space…..those folks really did a great job with the layout in that little spot.Pros + Food, Value, ParkingCons – Ambiance, Room Layout, Service

used to ride the bus by and the smell of roasting meat and garlic would set my mouth watering. i finally tried it. worth every penny. HUGE sandwiches. fantastic selection. have yet to be disappointed. very crowded, but i like the whole greasy spoon atmosphere of it. Seattle is a city, and Fremont a neighborhood, meant to be walked through….

Wow! So upon reading reviews and gathering info from friends I finally decided to eat at Tat’s. Easy to find, just one block from the Pioneer Square metro station, tucked nicely into the other beautiful brick buildings in Pioneer Square. I’ve been craving pastrami and I heard that the “Tatsrami” is amazing. I went in with nothing else on my mind but the Tatsrami and so that’s what I ordered! I got there at 11am, no line, as a matter of fact I was the only person in the joint. I sat down and upon my first bite I became hooked! WOW…what flavor! The meat was great, the Russian sauce and cole slaw complemented the meat perfectly. The bread was just right! I’m a fan and I will tell everybody I know about this place!
