Where is the Best Seafood in New Orleans, Louisiana?

My friend is from New Orleans and she and her mother kept ranting and raving about this place. I didn’t think too much about it. I actually didn’t know it was a seafood place until we got there. The menu is so extensive and I really am not a seafood expert. I usually stick to fried shrimp, and maybe crab. So not surprisingly I decided to go with the crab cake and ponchatrain pasta! I’m from New York but I must say BAY-BAY THAT WAS BY FAR THE BEST SEAFOOD I HAVE EVER, EVER, EVER EATEN. No lie, my toes were tapping uncontrollably and my I forgot where I was at! Please try this food. You will LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!! If you don’t then there’s probably something wrong with you.p.s- the voo doo egg rolls- OMG! HEAVEN. I WISH I WAS A MILLIONAIRE, I’D FLY HERE EVERY WEEKEND.Pros + extremely fresh foodCons – the waitress was slow as molasses

This is one of the places my husband (boyfriend back then) brought me to when he learned I loved seafood! I was amazed at the amount of food you received. I’m glad to hear this wonderful place survived Katrina. I haven’t gotten home yet but learned that Jack Dempsey was open and I’m planning a family outing for Friday July 27,2007. There’s no place like home and JD’s is one of the many reasons that New Orleans is a great place to call home!!!!!!!

I was visiting my old home town New Orleans from Los Angeles and of course you have to have New Orleans seafood. I have been to Deanies a few times and it was wonderful, delicious. But this time it was just horrible. We had a table of 3 and it must of taken us 3 hours to eat. They must of been understaffed or something. I ordered the crabmeat remoulade which is normally delicious with a nice amount of crabmeat but this time the amound of crabmeat was so puny. I mean really “wheres the meat”? I also ordered the bbq shrimp which is normally so damn delicious but this time something was seriously lacking. It had a burnt left on stove too long taste. Disappointing. My oysters were about 1.5 hours late and the waitress also told me that they left them in the refrigerator for me to keep them cooled because she forgot to retrieve them. Oh how lovely dried up raw oysters. The worst of the experience was the waiting, It took forever for the food. I mean we must of sat for like 45mi

The Renaissance Arts is in the warehouse district of New Orleans; in fact it is a renovated warehouse filled with comfortable rooms and very good art. Convenient to the Convention Center and many nice restaurants, a short walk to the French Quarter and the Canal and St Charles street car lines. Good service, comfortable room, nice restaurant. As a Marriott…

Perfection! I tried GW Fins for the first time this past weekend, and I have to say I was extremely impressed. As someone who has traveled extensively and dined in fabulous restaurants all over the world, I rank this restaurant up there with the best. The dining room is spacious and well decorated, and the tables are far enough apart so that you’re not elbow-to-elbow with other patrons. I loved that in lieu of bread, someone from the kitchen walked around with a cookie sheet of freshly baked biscuits! A homey touch in an upclass setting. My server was well trained and attentive. For my appetizer I got the Lobster Dumplings. They were to DIE for!! One of my dinner guests got the same, and I saw him wipe away a tear of happiness. Entrees change daily as fish is served the day it’s brought in. I had a Pompano with asparagus and jumbo lump crab meat that was perfectly cooked, beautifully seasoned, and stunningly presented. Desert was the Molten Chocolate Cake – so warm and melty that it
