Where is the Best Seafood in Norfolk, Nebraska?
I am pretty easy to please and never take time to rate anything, let alone restaurants, but I felt compelled to write because both times that I’ve eaten at the chesapeake location I’ve left saying “I’ll never go back there again!” . The first time I ordered the broiled seafood platter and the second time it was the English battered fish and shrimp, plus calimari. Everything was completely tasteless, as if they forgot to add seasoning to everything we ordered. You might ask, so why did I come back the second time? Well, some years back I had dined at the Waterside Joe’s crab shack and both times the food was great; So I’m not sure what happened here, either the cook sucks or the franchise has changed its recipes to accommodate concerns over sodium. But my money would’ve been better spent at Long John Silver’s!
This little restaurant looks like a house, you might miss it but it is on 23rd between Atlantic and Pacific. Small and loved by the locals. Decent wine list and great food with large portions. Crab nachos piled super high, great seared tuna, awesome crab cakes. Small and very friendly. Open year round and has a nice fireplace for to make cold days feel warm & cozy. Highly recommended. Would give it 5 stars but it is really a simple restaurant. jeans are the norm.
Definitely overrated. I have been to this restaurant about 15 times in the past 20 years and it remains the same. Great she-crab soup and then it goes down after that. There are so many other great seafood places in Va Beach …granted without the view, that cost half the price and deliver more seafood and seafood that is tastier than Lynnhaven Fish House…and, oh, the parking is not that great (don’t drive your expensive car there you can barely fit it into a space there and the spaces are all slanted down a hill…meaning you’ll end up with lots of door dings).
