my boyfriend and I had reservations at Pacific Catch, and arrived there via cab only to decide that it looks like Taco Hell, so we decided to make a back up plan. We caught another cab and went to Pesca, we walked in and was seated imedaitely. The decor was clean and kinda hip, the bartender was full of personality, and they bought our first drink on the house! We were seated promptly, and ordered a multiple tapas, the Crab pasta dish was great, big portions. The veggies were the best the green beans with lemon zest. The grilled asparagus and sole with capers in a garlic lemon butter was the best. Only draw back was a homeless man stuck his head into the door and scared me to death by sneaking up on me and asking for money. He was quickly asked to leave by the bannister. Easy to catch a cab going back to the hotel in the finance district. Good meal total tab was $115.00 for 2 people and we had 8 cockatils / glasses of wine.Pros + Great value on the tapas, easy parking cou

Being a nyc foodie and first time SF visitor, some local friends suggested I meet them here my first night in town (they lived nearby). It’s a large, airy restaurant with lovely views. It struck me as a nice family-style place, especially good for large groups. Overall the food was average – I would not call it gourmet. (The lobster rolls were particularly tasty). The menu is quite varied – something for everyone. While it’s not on the level of other, more “fine-dining” places in town (see my review of Gary Danko…) the meal was a decent start to my week in SF. Service was good and prices were reasonable.

No expert on Comida Peruano, but having been there once I can identify some authentic dishes. You want papas (potatoes) they got papas, served as appetizers like mini sushi towers with sauces and seafoods. You want Maize, they add it poached, steamed, stewed to many of their dishes. I don’t eat seafood, but chose this restaurant to impress a group who eats a lot. Seafood blew them away, not as the best but more as a different take on some fave dishes. Great lamb, great veggie dishes. Priced high overall, but a spacious renovated pier warehouse with fun views, soon to be outdoor dining. A good crowd/downtown office pleaser. If you like Pisco…best menu in town. If you don’t know what is be brave and experiment. Luckily no Cuy (domesticated guinea pig) or Alpaca on the menu but, lots of authentic dishes and sauces in unusual combinations that were well cooked.Bottom line, pricey, experimental but, also tasty and great for a large group.Pros + Innovative Menu- great seafoo

Amazing view. Great Ambience. Wonderful wine list, friendly service, unfortunately the food is overpriced and it was unimpressive. If you’re in the mood for plain crab and lobster for $50 a la carte then go for it. I ordered their version of fish and chips ($29) and had a stomach ache all night. Unfotunately, the sides don’t make up for the lacking food. For those prices I expect more from a dish. The presentation is unique and I do give them credit for their intent.
