Where is the Best See and Be Seen Bar in Chicago, Illinois?
I have been going to the Funky Buddha for about 4 months now. I must admit that if it wasnt for the security at the door making everyone in line feel comfortable and safe due to the line being long. I would have turned around and gone somewhere else. I think the gentlemans name was Bass. He was very very professional with making sure that the line moved swiftly and safely. I was very impressed with how well he handled the people in the VIP line. No matter what day of week I go. The staff is very friendly and courteous. The music is always BLAZING HOT!!! Fundky Buddha lounge is the place to be for a night out on the town!!! My personal opinion, The door staff is the first impression of a nightclub…..Funky Buddha’s door staff is the BOMB!!! Pros + Front door staffCons – dance floor too small
I have lived down the street from Feast for the past 2 years and finally tried it this past week. The reason why we had never gone in was because the food for dinner always looked a little too fancy and expensive for our taste. However, it was my friends bday so we went over for lunch. Lunch was still a little pricey but WELL worth it. I got the chicken sandwich and my friend got the greek salad, chicken skewer plate. Both were extremely yummy. I can’t believe that I have lived so close and never gave feast a shot. My ONLY complaint was that the service was PAINFULLY slow. We waited 20 mins for the check before we decided to walk up to the front to find our server and pay. Good food, slow service, but worth checking out.Pros + awesome foodCons – slow service
I have had many a meal and many a cocktail here back in my “important downtown businessman” days. It’s a great spot for a decent filet or sirloin steak. But now I like to belly up to the bar every once in awhile, as I did on Mother’s Day, and have a martini, and perhaps a lite bite. Where the heck else can you end up sitting next to a some steel magnate, who has two Rolls-Royce vehicles and a Bentley (the latter which he has shipped out by train when he is on the west coast,) a bartender who tells you this stuff, and who can regale you with those long and politically incorrect jokes which go on for days before the punch line? In such a milieu, and where I know that no-one will remember me from one visit to the next, I like to pretend to talk sports-something I am totally ignorant about, but I just repeat what I hear other guys say. Such as, “boy, there were some really bad calls last night!” And the other guys just take that and run with it,. I find that most of them don’t really lis
