Where is the Best Sports Bar in Oakland, California?
The Lair is a great place to hang out. A central bar surrounded by Cal sports memorabilia. During the school year they have beer’s on the terrace for cheap. And, game days, football or basketball, this is the place to be. Nothing like singing the Cal drinking song with the Cal Band and Oski (Cal’s Mascot) standing on the bar with a straw in a liter of his favorite brew after a game. On thursday nights this bar is a regular stop for the Cal Rugby team and the frat crowd, probably due to the $5 liters. The house brews are good (I love the Porter) and the best deal but there are other local micros, “alternative malts” and wines for those who don’t like beer. The food is good, the pizza and wings are awesome. A must stop if you are in Berkeley for a game or just visiting.Pros + Good Beer, Great Sports Crowd, Cheap BeerCons – Can get crowded
Truly the BEST French restaurant I have ever been to. I like that I have the options to have a romantic and secluded dinner inside of the restaurant or I can have a light and very tasty lunch outside. I am new to the marina del rey area but I’m so glad I finally decided to stop by. More often than not, I would walk right past this restaurant on my way to starbucks but starbucks hasn’t seen me for a MONTH now. I’m completely hooked on Le Marmiton
Great place to meet up with your friends…the bartenders are awesome they make you feel at home and are quick! There is no shuffle board game so who knows where that other person went. The average age is not 40 not even upper 30’s it is a upper 20’s bar. If you want to have fun and meet different people in a lively atmosphere than that is where you want to go!
