Where is the Best Steak in Albuquerque, New Mexico?

This is my favorite place to eat. I have been going there for over 30 years. We always eat early so it is quite and dark. We spend at least 2 hours dinning so that we enjoy ourselves. The steaks are out of this world. We start our dinner out with the shrimp cocktail. The shrimp are large and firm. Next comes the salad which doesn’t have just iceberg lettuce in it. They now mix all sorts of yummy lettuces and assortments to their salad. Dinner is always good no matter what you order. If you are going for lunch they have the best fried chicken I have ever eaten. The sad part is they only serve it at lunch. They serve a wonderful homemade bread. I always take the leftovers and make french toast the next morning. The drinks are made on the stiff side. I figure if I want a drink with dinner and I’m paying for a drink I want it on the stiff side. If you are going try to sit in Mark or Lorene’s section. They are just the best!!!

Big is the word! Big steaks! Big baked potatos! If you are brave enough to order their excellent Chicken Fried Steak, you´d better have 2 dogs for the doggie-bag to go! It literally fills your plate! In season the outdoor patio is a must, with views of Albuquerque, and environs spread out before you. The food IS at times luke warm upon arrival, and no soup or salad comes with the moderately priced meals. But, it is so good you really don´t care. It can be a bit noisy inside for normal conversati

The Bull Ring is part institution, part great restaurant. In its new digs on Washington Avenue, it serves up the best steaks in New Mexico. The bar is dark and clubby, designed well for the politicians who lunch there when the State legislature is in session. The dining room has the look of a classic steak house, with the deep padded red booths and elegant tables. Steaks are the usual cuts, from great prime rib to a towering porterhouse. Try the filet. Meats are prepared in similar style to the Ruth’s Chris Steakhouses, but the supplier of meat (a well kept secret) may be just a hair better. For lunch, try the steak and eggs, or, if steak isn’t your thing, try their Cobb Salad. Most of their salads are superb. The shrimp remoulade is outstanding. Deserts are their one weak department. It’s run-of-the-mill fare here. The Haagen-Dazs down on the Plaza, a short walk away, has better cakes and specialties. Service here is some of the best you’ll get in Santa Fe, although there ar

I have NEVER had a bad steak at the Lonestar, however their ribs leave MUCH to be desired. Dry and lack flavor and sauce.. will not bother with them again, but it’s the BEST place for steaks.. salads are great as well. Would be nice if the baked potatoes really came with *everything* as they as *everything on that??* and it only means sour cream and butter.. cheese and bacon cost you extra.. I have never seen a place charge for potato condiments before…Pros + steak is great, kids eat free on TuesCons – ribs are no good, smoke drifts from bar

Although the food portions are a bit small but the bread is sooo good, you wont be able to stop eating it! Oh, and if its your first time, they will give you fried zuccini which is awesome!Pros + Everything!Cons – ??
