Where is the Best Steak in Los Angeles, California?

When i lived in Koreatown, i actually lived a block down from this historical establishment known as Taylor’s Steakhouse. i never ventured inside because i figured that it might just be some two-bit wannabe steakhouse (Plus, the surrounding neighbourhood isn’t exactly all that nice or safe). However, my parents decided to indulge my meat-loving mouth for my birthday and decided to eat at Taylor’s. Don’t be fooled by the neighbourhood ambiance: Taylor’s is classy and elegant. It may not be a Lawry’s in terms of restaurant atmosphere, but it is a nice retreat away from big-city life. To the most important aspect… their steaks. They do not offer a huge number of cuts, but those that they do are all juicy and tender! Everything from their special culotte cut to their fliet mignon are mouth-watering and cooked just right. Their home steak sauce is well worth a dip too! Service is a cut above the rest; well-attentive, friendly and a good number of the servers have been there for m

The steaks melt in your mouth, the Blue Crab cakes are to die for and I’ve never had a better lobster tail. Really excellent service and an enjoyable experience despite the price!

I’m not sure why the last few reviews are so negative. We had a very good experience here last night. Our greeting was a little cold from the manager (or Maitre d’.) We had a reservation, and there were many open tables, and they did not seem busy, yet he said curtly: “We’ll be with you in a few minutes.” So we stood there awkwardly for about 45 seconds and then the hostess said “This way, please,” and took us to a table a few feet away. It all just felt kinda strange…From then on, everything was just about perfect. Our server, Brooksley, was very friendly, and knowledgeable. The appetizers took about 15 minutes to arrive. Kind of long for a (cold) Bibb Lettuce Salad and Shrimp Cocktail. But they were good. Then our Petit Filets came out, each cooked perfectly medium, and each of them VERY delicious. Not the best Steak I’ve ever had, but RIGHT up there with very good ones. The sides of Lobster Potatoes Gratin, and French Green Beans were also both excellent. We ordered

I’ve been to this place only once. It was indeed very satisfying. It located on second floor, the design was tasteful and classy. They offer the best customer service, all the staff were very nice, genuinely friendly, attentive and helpful. Its one place where I would take a visiting guest. The food was very delicious, however I must warn you that they are pretty pricey. Most of the plates did not come with a side, its extra charge. The portion of the sides can be shared by 2 people though. We ordered mostly steaks, although the portions were small, we were still very satisfied with the taste. It was cook the way we asked for it, it was juicy and very tastety. The ambience was gratifying, its perfect for 1st dates. Its very romantic, the volume of music is perfect, lights are dimmed. There is a balcony where you can catch a breathe of fresh air and talk. Its is very expensive though, our bill came out to $250- for 4 people, with one drink each and no desserts. They offer valet parking

So it’s Valentine’s Day and my brand new fiance and I were so excited to have dinner here.  And why not?  Our previous experiences were great.  There are some specific food items that we LOVE and are the reason we keep coming back.  So it only made sense to choose The Penthouse as our V-day spot.  So we booked reservations about 3 weeks ago.  We got all dressed up and ready to go.  We got to the restaurant and were led to one of their exceptionally nice booths.  If you’ve ever been there you’ll know they have regular tables and then booths with little canopy like draping on them making them extraspecial and romantic.  I was so happy because we just got engaged and it seemed fitting that we would get a special table. My happiness faded when we were given the menus.  I looked down to see a fixed 5-course Valentine’s Day menu for $95/person.  And to my horror, 85% of the menu included seafood of which I am allergic to.  This meant I had NO choice in what I ordered and would have to choose
