Courteous, helpful, and friendly staff. Great space. I was pleasantly surprised by the professional and relaxed atmosphere.

I actually heard about Adorn first when I saw someone in the grocery store with a beautifully done hibiscus? on her shoulder. I asked her where she got her work done, and she raved about Adorn. I’ve been wanting to get some ink done for a while, and did my research and chose Adorn for my first tattoo. I went in on Tuesday afternoon, and brought my idea/drawing from my favorite children’s book with me. I talked with Justin? I think about it, and he was able to schedule me in for an appointment with Jesse on Wednesday afternoon.Jesse took my drawing and script idea and made it a bit larger than the original, but it fits perfectly in the space I wanted it to occupy on my left forearm. He put me at ease pretty much right away, and I had a very minor pain freak-out right before the needle touched my skin because this WAS my first tattoo, and I had built it up to be this awfully painful thing. Then he started the outline on the script. I looked at him with incredulity and said, “That’s it?

I’ve been tattooed by some of the old-school big names, and have been with friends when they got tattoos in various places all over the country… from sketchy biker shops to top-notch houses of artistry. In my experience, Atlas is one of the best in the United States. Aside from first-class drawing and tatting skills (these guys are all artists in their spare time), the level of service is excellent. They did everything to make sure that I was getting EXACTLY what I wanted, where I wanted it, and took the time to explain to me the limitations of the medium and process, etc. When I was in the chair Jerry was funny and sweet, and the rest of the crew took the time to check in with me and do some friendly bantering. Three hours later I paid less than I would have in most other shops. My sister, who has been to other tattooists in Portland and who was with me at Atlas, says she won’t ever get a tattoo anywhere else! Neither will I. Pros + Very artistic, funny people, nice atmosp

Peter Archer gave me ink to my virgin skin. He was so nice and comforting even though I couldn’t handle my pain well, he slowed down and was so kind. I would LOVE to get more ink from him I can’t imagine going to anyone else. He inked me in 2002 and it still looks fantastic. I went to Peter based on recommendations from fellow suicidegirls and I’m glad I did. Pros + Comfortable, super professional. Cons – That Peter doesn’t have an identical twin 🙂
